The bass on mine is still a bit boomy. Well, used it for about 5 hours only so far so no complain lol. Need to wait for it to loosen up first. The detail is very good. Warm sound just the way I like it, with the tweeter doing it's job perfectly when it needs to.

For the time being the placement of the satellite isn't very good, it's too close together so I can't really test the soundstage yet. Need to find a bigger table soon.

Your subwoofer has a polyfill stuffed inside of the port which reduces the velocity and spl but tightens the bass so that it hits lower. We did that purposely for you only. If you remove the polyfill it will increase the sub output but you will make it boomier

They are indeed audiophile speakers. Even the Rm1800 H10 does not have rated power as high as z906 but you get significantly better quality bass over a cheap ported subwoofer.

Consumer brands these days are focusing heavily on subwoofer output.

hmmm... in a short way i would prefer the Swans M50W..because i listen to 70% music and the rest on movies..for movies i just switch it to the Edifier speaker...those two are a set of different speakers 1 for SPL(EDIFIER) and 1 for SQ(SWANS)...its like comparing a AKG701 to a Audio Technica M50...the Swans reproduce Quality such as the Edifier Quantity (if u know what i mean)

Conclusion if ur in the market for a 2.1 speakers and like music go for Swans if for movies/games or Techno bassy music go for Edifier...

QUOTE
hmmm...i play games to and i feel the M50W is ok with it if..but u will not get the OMMPPPHHHH the Edifier will give you...from what i can say M50W is an all round speaker...one of the best multimedia speaker in the market out there...ive owned alot of Multimedia speakers before such as the logitech Z-5500, Z2300, Z4, Roth Audioblob, Edifier c3, S530D and so on but from what my crappy ears cud here i love the M50W the most...

If you plan to use the speaker nearfield like this, save yourself some money and buy the mk2 laugh.gif

With the Lavry running at 46 (line out) this is how loud you can set the volume 35% and right in front of the desktop, it is already 112dB...laugh.gif So yeah, can't even run it at 50%

That the mk3 on the table. You can see the 3 stripes on the hardwood panel showing mk3.

This is my own mk3. Demo already went to heavy arm.

I've listened to a lot of sources and without a doubt the benchmark dac1 and Larry da11 are the two best dac money can buy. Bought it long time ago to use it with hd600 and my upcoming harbeth shl5. (Been saying this for years) used to run an aego m with it.

@penmaker
Go audition it at heavy arm. Only mk3 is available. Mk2 sold out and will be back in January.

@Ben
S3w isn't really that portable though, you need to plug in a power source. But you can also gut out the amp and mod it to take batteries. It used a t-amp (Google sonic impact t amp)

But in terms of quality, need to say meh? Lol
