Bro arthur88,
Have you completed your DIY on the soundproof rubber seal? Can post some pictures? Notice any difference apart from having difficulty to close the door? |

QUOTE(arthur88 @ Sep 24 2012, 02:10 PM) cannot find ppl help me capture video/picture...impossible i know kagebushinnojutsu.....outside noise reduce, feels more solid when closing door... Haish...take picture also give excuses...post for the benefit of the people here lor....outside door reduction maybe only 5 - 10%. No question about the solid sound of door closing.but if u do foam, it would be way better as i just tested on Aaronz car...both of us have mini TT and drove around highway... but now rear left door got rubber falling off again...due to first time i didnt do it correctly, i left extra rubber there without cutting it.... Foam is way above my budget. No doubt on the effectiveness of the product. For me, i just stick the rubber with acrylic tape bought from outside. |

On a serious note, soundproofing need to be done by the experts. If DIY, probably can reduce 5% to 10%. It will not cut off outside noise. Only thing is solid closing noise and dust will not come into the interior and air con does not go out... This post has been edited by Gigabit: Sep 24 2012, 02:59 PM |

QUOTE(archiq @ Sep 26 2012, 11:45 AM) this is their 1st try bro.. it's new to them.. give them some chances.. maybe they can learn something from this and to improve.. rather than stick to "old proven" key technology which is still be used in exec version of preve.. Start Stop function is good to use but needs some work. Other car manufacturer also have the same feature but need not put key fob to start the car. mat79..your inside knowledge on this feature is most welcome. On another note, please explain to us why side mirror only auto unfold after car is moving more than 5km/hu can't be improved if u never want to try and learn.. |

QUOTE(nzh0920 @ Sep 26 2012, 04:26 PM) kacau abit, This feature is useful for parking spaces that are tight but not wide car porches in double storeys, bungalows, semi detached where the more important concern is to see the side whether going straight and to avoid hitting the gate. A minor inconvenience as we can always press the unfold button. Just need to understand the rational of setting the speed at 5km/h.think this way... like one of my fren usually fold his side mirror then park car very close to wall, so he can park another beside and without knock on other car's body panel if one car open the door. if u turn on ACC then it will auto unfold, it will scratch your side mirror pretty easy. so 5km/h is safe spot. if not mistaken later batch lancer GT came with this function too. but at 20km/h auto unfold, and cannot fold when your exceed this speed. like a safety feature |

QUOTE(izputra @ Sep 26 2012, 05:34 PM) Ya..i have said about this also. From my observation, the auto climate control only controls the blower speed automatically but not the air intake mode, vents selection & AC/Fan only mode. But the Preve aircond is powerful nonetheless. I prefer tp set it at a lower speed, putting auto mode is not good for the compressor in the long run. When i set the aircond on auto mode on a hot sunny day (after parked the car under the sun for sometime), the fan will blast to its maximum speed for several seconds & then slowing down for several seconds then max speed again for several seconds. This behavior happen continuously for several minutes until the inside temp went down (then the blower speed will stabilize). I dont know whether this is normal or abnormal..anyone able to verify this? |

QUOTE(izputra @ Sep 26 2012, 05:52 PM) "tp set it at a lower speed"? I cant digest this statement bro. tp = temperature? tp is to....yes blower and not compressor....From my understanding, if u set the temp to say 25C, the compressor will operate as it is regardless u set it in 'auto blower speed' mode or 'manual blower speed' mode. So i believe the "not good for the compressor in the long run" if using auto mode is out of the equation..unless u said "not good for the blower in the long run" |

QUOTE(doel @ Oct 1 2012, 07:03 AM) You need to put additional 4 psi for front and rear as the recommended tyre pressure is for car on stationary position. Once the car have travelled more than 1.5km, the tyre have expanded and thus need to put in extra 4 psi. This tip was shared by mat79 on this forum sometime back. |

QUOTE(ben3003 @ Oct 1 2012, 09:01 AM) Well, that was what mat79 shared in the forum, if gas pressure increase in the tyre due to heat, then the meter reading when we want to pump air will not be accurate....so better to inflate more rather than deflate..of course there is downside to over inflated tyres too. |
