QUOTE(cherroy @ Sep 6 2012, 04:46 PM) QE3 may send another inflation to raw materials price and commodities. AFAIK, the processed cooking oil is an control item in China, i'm not sure about sugarSo if the company cannot pass the cost to the consumer, then yes, margin may be squeezed. I do not know palm oil, sugar is a price controlled item in China? |

QUOTE(mopster @ Sep 6 2012, 10:36 PM) According to super mario, the unlimited bond purchase is all sterilized... Meaning there Is no increase in money supply... Wonder if that really means no additional printing... Do u think Germany would gladly lend more to ECB?or maybe they are trying to utilize fund available in EFSF QUOTE(jasontoh @ Sep 6 2012, 10:39 PM) More like a relief to me. Anyway, earlier I already mention the bull has awaken!!! So it seems that the statement stands the bull might hibernate by early next year if it goes |

QUOTE(SKY 1809 @ Sep 7 2012, 10:07 AM) Some kind of injection of Telco projects , maybe. Telco project? i doubt they have the expertise to prosecute. I'll rather wish them to focus on their core business, as u mentioned the future LRT and MRT is a future good revenue source for themS M got so many telco projects, but may not have the expertise. Remember MRT n LRT could be a good source too. Just guessing only. |

QUOTE(cherroy @ Sep 7 2012, 10:39 AM) I wonder whether the ECB bond buying programme that result in huge market bull will last or not. Is just the term or name which make everyone confuseI still do not quite understand how to "sterilise" the money of bond buying. Unlimited purchase? Wow, means country can still continue issue bond to fund the budget deficit? After all ECB will buy? Like a open "water tap" that unlimited? iPad 3 - The New iPad Later Uncle Ben launch QE3, he will name it "The New QE" I still wonder, did Merkel agree on purchasing PIIGS bond |

QUOTE(cherroy @ Sep 7 2012, 11:03 AM) According to media article, I still do not understand sterilised bond buying programme that stated no increase in money supply. My guess :-So without printing new money, where ECB get those money to buy? Bare in mind, we may be talking in ten to hundred billion in figure. http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2012-09-05/e...ond-buying.html 1) They utilize the deposit placed by those Europe Bank 2) They utilize the fund gather from each Europe country, especially in EFSF or ESM (i can't remember which one), leverage 5-10 times to purchase the bond If they use scenario no.2, then money supply would be increase by leveraging, isn't it |

QUOTE(GloryKnight @ Sep 10 2012, 09:40 PM) Yes. Reasons simple: Obama heading to elections and to prevent a global recession, QE3 have to be done. Uncle Ben is a supporter of GOP, why he would help Obama? Do they think in the longer future, there will be a financial crisis cause by the printing of money? too much paper bills going around already...lock on profits, then wait for the crumble. Najib - potential announcing in November 11th bah. If everybody is prepare for a crash in GE, it won't be so disasterrous as in year 2008, just my opinion |

QUOTE(Boon3 @ Sep 12 2012, 10:22 AM) This new budget airline ... Can they have the same profitablity as AirAsia with the B737, i doubt so http://www.theedgemalaysia.com/business-ne...-to-change.html Nadi holds 51% and our government holds ONE golden share. How airlines does our country have now? AirAsia's TonyGor is not going to be happy. His company expanding like crazy, as if money fall from sky ( punt maybe intended! LOL! Many want to copy Air Asia model but they failed in their cost control and loading capacity This post has been edited by yhtan: Sep 12 2012, 10:33 AM |

QUOTE(Boon3 @ Sep 12 2012, 10:38 AM) Whether they fail or not, by them being around those AirAsia routes, they will represent an option for air travelers. Prior that firefly was a challenger to Air Asia, but still incurring losses. The problem is government is 51% shareholder of the new budget airline, i don't hope for another MAS in making AirAsia model is having its success now because they got big helping hands when they first started out. Helping hands only help on initial stage, the rest is boiled down to management. And i notice Air Asia stands out from other for its marketing strategy. |

QUOTE(gark @ Sep 12 2012, 11:29 AM) All the leasing is over a long period, maybe 10 years or longer, similar as car loan. As long the company's cash flow able to repay its instalment, bank won't kacau them Too bad they are into a industry highly depending on crude oil price, inconsistency profit in q-o-q or y-o-y QUOTE(Boon3 @ Sep 12 2012, 11:38 AM) Looks like you are a pure investor. Must eat some different dish every now and then. Speculate little won't die one. I think if AirAsia stock continue to fall to 2.80+, I think this knee jerk reaction will be overdone. Could be an opportunity for some scavengers traders... AirAsia debts and its future plan is indeed scary but at this moment of time, I think AirAsia's cash flows should still be able to tahan. Yeah, AirAsia won't die so fast.. But some are making noise already saying TonyGor very smart. By the time the debts really kick in, where will TonyGor be? |

QUOTE(StupidGuyPlayComp @ Sep 13 2012, 09:30 AM) 我倒觉得apple的创新比之前少很多了, 可能steve jobs不在的关系? 现在的iphone5相信会大卖, 不过靠的都是老jobs之前开创的"基础" Improve battery lifespan Improve Camera function Improve iOS Improve hardware No doubt they still dominate tablet market, their smartphone market slowly eroded by Samsung |
