QUOTE(jy1905 @ Sep 14 2012, 04:15 PM) Affin is kind of a newsflow or M&A play, since its earning capability is one of the worst performer in Malaysia bank sector. That's why its valuation stays cheap. I don't want to take the risk of this kind of game at the moment, prefer more "simple" one. So that can sleep well at night. Added on September 14, 2012, 4:28 pm QUOTE(Bonescythe @ Sep 14 2012, 03:41 PM) Sold half of my DRB weeks ago at 2.6x. Still holding half. Come lah, 3.00 lah. Sai try to move, but not strong. Normally this one is like that. Not strong all the time. Only strong suddenly and pushes up, then soft again. This post has been edited by yok70: Sep 14 2012, 04:28 PM |

QUOTE(jy1905 @ Sep 14 2012, 04:52 PM) on the contrary, i see minimal risk in this counter great that you are holding comfortable stocks. all the best for all of us bros and sis here! no doubt it is one of the worst performer if you compare with other larger banks in m'sia but i think it only needs time for the valuation to catch up and i believe it is on the track 1. the recent quarterly reports are good 2. the 50% divvy policy.. based on the annualized earnings, the divvy could be around 20cents.. at current price, the yield is almost 6% 3. epf has been net buyer for the past few months (based on announcements up to 7th sept, i believe epf could be the one suppressing the price recently and accumulating on it) newsflow and m&a are sort of additional benefits.. and i think the downside for this counter is minimal atm especially when QE3 is already announced.. as for ge, i don:t think it would affect the earnings badly.. plus, i am comfortable with the 50% divvy policy happy malaysia day!! Added on September 14, 2012, 5:07 pmToday very the not siong! No successful buying and selling! Waste of time watching the market whole day! QUOTE(Boon3 @ Sep 18 2012, 11:24 AM) Then there are some who get the dividends but is offset by the huge decline in share price but because everyone claims they are making big money from dividends, these people will just keep quiet. Frustrated by how their dividends is vomited out by the sharp decline in share price. |

QUOTE(kueyteowlou @ Sep 18 2012, 02:45 PM) QE3, oil price will eventually move up.Malindo competition, dunno how dirty our gomen wants to play this game. They have good track record of investing on loss making business with rakyat's money. Most probably withdraws the buying of Batavia airlines in Indo, shows how difficult to conquer Indo's market as an outsider as Indo's gomen(together with Indo citizens) being protected to their local companies (On the other hand, our Malaysia Boleh gomen fights with local company Airasia's future plan is very aggressive (increase planes numbers to almost 3x of current), which is not so easy to achieve. Lets see, what could be a good entry price..... This post has been edited by yok70: Sep 18 2012, 03:24 PM |

QUOTE(TheBestICould @ Sep 18 2012, 03:54 PM) Hi yok70, Both my Jupiter and CIMB platform allows for queuing a month. Just enter GTD(good to date) one time, that's all. mind if i ask how do you queue and leave it for a month ? do you mean it auto queue everyday at 1.65 or u have to key in the order daily ? Thank you very much. |

The Asean Trading Link kicks start this afternoon for Malaysia, Singapore.
It says there will be only one broker executing a trade instead of one in each country. Should this reduce our cross country transaction fees?? Why not inform by our broker?? http://www.theedgemalaysia.com/business-ne...ading-link.html Added on September 18, 2012, 4:10 pm QUOTE(SKY 1809 @ Sep 18 2012, 04:04 PM) Orders keyed through Pc still cannot be changed through tablets or phones wah! i never use their mobile platform yet. so it's still not mature enough to replace the PC one. Still need to carry a notebook liao for orders . This is bad actually, since tablet already 10 inch, same size with ultrabook's 11 inch. So can actually put full features onto their mobile platform. They just lazy to write 2 mobile software since handphone still only 4+ inch. This post has been edited by yok70: Sep 18 2012, 04:10 PM |

QUOTE(abbey @ Sep 18 2012, 05:58 PM) This sounds like....catch the good ones, but tolerate the bad ones. Well, ya. Better put me in jail. Then allow publications such as The Edge or Business Times to published fake news provided by "unknown personal", that attracts innocent souls to loss huge money by the sharks who provides "secret info" to them. And there is no law to put them in jail at all, they are totally safe. This is reality, and this is the confusion of people regarding what is right from wrong. Without much information that at least "responsible by some brokers", people can simply put "secret info" in forum and providing fake or twisted manipulations in forum to attract innocent souls for their own benefit. Anyway, just my personal opinion, no offense. This post has been edited by yok70: Sep 18 2012, 06:21 PM |

QUOTE(danmooncake @ Sep 20 2012, 12:53 AM) Time to buy more Gold and Silver!! or better yet, if you're big banks, borrow from US govt and pump up more into emerging markets and create more inflation for those poor suckas. This could mean emerging market's stock will go higher and higher. So time for you to switch from US market to emerging markets? This post has been edited by yok70: Sep 20 2012, 12:57 AM |

QUOTE(ham_revilo @ Sep 20 2012, 12:52 PM) Ingens co-founder sold stake to Chin for about 20 sen/share It's so obvious, a conman company with zero responsibility for its shareholders. Why still bother for this kind of dirty conman company? I only bother if someone filed in to sue them for illegal insider trading. http://www.theedgemalaysia.com/business-news.html good news or bad? Anyway, for gamblers, I have no comment. It's a free world. Added on September 20, 2012, 1:48 pmInsider trading can be illegal or legal depending on when the insider makes the trade: it is illegal when the material information is still nonpublic--trading while having special knowledge is unfair to other investors who don't have access to such knowledge. Illegal insider trading therefore includes tipping others when you have any sort of nonpublic information. Directors are not the only ones who have the potential to be convicted of insider trading. People such as brokers and even family members can be guilty. Insider trading is legal once the material information has been made public, at which time the insider has no direct advantage over other investors. The SEC, however, still requires all insiders to report all their transactions. So, as insiders have an insight into the workings of their company, it may be wise for an investor to look at these reports to see how insiders are legally trading their stock. Read more: http://www.investopedia.com/terms/i/inside...p#ixzz26zD0fIQY Added on September 20, 2012, 1:51 pmDid our SC ever filed to sue anyone for insider trading? Ever? I don't know. Were there any "looking so insider-trading" cases around for the past two years? Well, PLENTY!! Eat shit lah, SC. This post has been edited by yok70: Sep 20 2012, 01:51 PM |
