QUOTE(SKY 1809 @ Sep 13 2012, 01:50 PM)
Flash - Minority shareholders storm out of Glenealy EGM

KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 13): Disgruntled minority shareholders of Glenealy PLANTATION [] (M) Bhd raised the temperature of an extraordinary general meeting (EGM) to vote on its privatisation when they expressed their dissatisfaction over the lack of a proper valuation report on the company's assets.
The meeting, which started at 10am Thursday, saw minority shareholders walking out without voting on the proposal, as some felt that the RM7.50 per share offer price does not reflect the true potential and value of the company.
Shareholder Lim Thian Siang, who was denied entry into the meeting, asked why there was no valuation report for the plantation land owned by Glenealy.
"If there was a valuation report on the deal, shareholders will most likely not approve the proposal," Lim told reporters, adding that the valuation was too low.
He said the estimated RM25,000 per hectare for the company's plantation lands significantly undervalues the company. He noted that Bursa Malaysia and the Securities Commission Malaysia have not said anything so far.
Counting of votes was in progress as at 12noon, after non-interested shareholders in the privatisation of the company cast their ballots.
Patrick Low, the head of the disgruntled shareholders, told theedgemalaysia.com the resolution on privatisation might go through.
On Sept 11, the company declared a special dividend of 52.75 sen per share to appease shareholders, but Low said his group is against the privatisation based on the principle that valuation of assets was not done properly.

I'm not too sure, but I guess since the recent rally already partially priced in the QE, just wondering how much higher it can go. But anyhow, at least market can turn neutral instead of bearish for a while? laugh.gif

Gold "explodes" to the upside, DJ and S&P 500 are not far away from its all time high.
Oil is going up too.

So, as ordinary poor fella on the street, QE3 is good?
Inflation can put poor fella more stresses in their daily life.
While rich one may enjoy through asset valuation increase in figure.
*
QE benefits the rich 1000 times more than the poor. The only one thing for the poor is *IF* jobs increase and they able to find a job to stay alive, not to get richer. sad.gif

asian won't stop consuming rice. earning maintain but earning growth is another story.

Not this issue. The issue on bernas is they import a lot of rice and then produce the final product and sell to consumers. So Bernas will suffer big time if raw material price goes up. smile.gif

10 LCCs to fly from klia2.
Malindo can easily be klia2 anchor tenant within 4 or 5 years.[/b]

With so many LCCs flying price competition is going to happen.
What is cheapskate air flight could become even more cheapskate air flights!  thumbup.gif
With LCCs require big money to setup, can they survive a price war?
Will overcapacity become a big issue?

If Malaysia economy did not booming as expected by the government(means lots of investments and creating lot more jobs and "import workers"), definitely oversupply. Same goes to properties segment. hmm.gif

Added on September 14, 2012, 10:04 amwhy anyone interested to press down msports price? it's weird. I mean, can see very low selling sometimes (such as now). 20 lots? that's only $660! hmm.gif

That one is PPB, not PBB.

Yes, but current slide may indeed provide good opportunity to enter.

One day, controlled item price needs to be raised as well.
*
good point.
but may have to wait for quite some years, when china's average income raise to certain level?
it's a safe bet for long term...so all comes down to dividend now, as it's gonna be long term. If price drops until dividend above 5%, can consider enter. laugh.gif

It's no point to fight the market. Such as if bought a wrong stock and suffer loss, it's no point to cry too long. Just accept the fact of mistake, and move on to other stocks.
It's a free market out there.
You can always choose what you want....if, your ideal choice exists, not just a wet dream.
For anyone who not like the rental fees being raise, they can always go find another shop or office that don't raise rental fees as much as those you called "reits own properties". If these "reits own" properties has no more people want to rent, all reits will automatic close shops. It's the reality of free market.
Just my view. smile.gif
