if tobacco tax going to increase, government should be announcing a few week earlier, cause some supplier might stock up in large quantity.

Fuel price itself only part of inflation, rental and commodities price also increase over the years, these 3 factors are the reason why inflation push up so high

QUOTE(M.Bison @ Sep 30 2012, 04:02 PM) Do rental really increase? I don't really feel it especially in Malaysia. But housing price really went up crazy. For housing, the increasing rate might be lower than commercial one. Shoplots rental increase by 3-5% annually, some prime area will be much more than that |

QUOTE(jasontoh @ Oct 2 2012, 02:10 PM) Same here. Since May this year, I think I've been getting an average of 2K in div every month Portfolio got half mil Added on October 2, 2012, 2:13 pm So, is MBSB still a good buy after the Budget and what goodies did MBSB get? I can see that the only thing I can benefit from it is the discount for PTPTN. For the income tax minus 1 pt, I'm not I'm entitle. QUOTE(mopster @ Oct 2 2012, 03:24 PM) problem is.. current price is for December delivery... if the price below RM2.5k, government cannot collect windfall tax meaning February earnings report will be horrible... so investors will overlook that and take the 6months drop in earnings as a temporary hiccup ? personally i'm still holding and no intention to sell.. only buy but everyone else think the same as me ? hahah Added on October 2, 2012, 3:26 pm coz when sharks cash out from Global Equity/Metals, it will be converted to USD or they will buy US treasuries.. thats why USD becomes strong and Equities weak... vice-versa... the money will go somewhere... just not doing nothing... 2,400 indeed is the lowest price on this 3 years, the gap between soy bean is much more widen So i'm pondering whether is there any problem in India, China or Europe which we unable to foresee |

QUOTE(cherroy @ Oct 2 2012, 03:47 PM) Oh just read another "temporary" on QE. based on my understanding, they buy treasury bond to press down or maintain the yield rate. Hence the infinity of $40bil per month is prepared as their bullethttp://www.cnbc.com/id/49242022 ” Added on October 2, 2012, 3:48 pmI wonder the temporary definition is 6 months? 1 year? 3 years? 5 years? oppss I forgot when the QE started, already how long in the Fed balance sheet? |

QUOTE(mopster @ Oct 2 2012, 10:15 PM) LOL 2255... like CPO party lost in general election... if so happen to be 2,000 per tonne, many small plantation owner going to suffer -- charkueyteow bro.. the guy who shorted 250 contracts huat liao...!!! Added on if it stays at 2,000 per tonne... it's possible to see some planters go red in their report cards... Alex's earlier post said that if there's no rebound to 2700 within 2 weeks or further selldown below 2500, it will likely remain low for some time.. seems like it's coming true now... BKawan @ RM9 ?? Government will have lesser income tax and windfall tax, on the another hand, still need to subsidize cooking oil |

QUOTE(yok70 @ Oct 4 2012, 12:43 PM) Boustead REIT got 4*5000 lots buying. I guess some fun managers think CPO could be at bottom for now? Not comfortable with DBE?And I sold all my remaining DBE too, with huge loss also, no doubt. And I use these money to buy HBGlob (previous name was Sozo) at 0.325, it is another red-chip that been severely hit until mother also cannot recognize. Business quite similar though, one is chicken and one is duck. Also added more Stareit at 1.03. Today big shopping day. One thing i notice from poultry business, it is a competitive industry with tiny margin, and with the rising of cost (Corn price), company with good cost management will prevail, for example LTKM and QL. So it is easier to narrow which one is good or bad. Disclaimer : Do your own risk assessment, it is just my personal opinion QUOTE(Icehart @ Oct 4 2012, 01:04 PM) Maybe small part of his capital contain high risk appetite |
