Flicker issue only happens when brightness is set quite low. I've seen similar issues even in few other models. I think that is normal.
As for battery life, it is not bad. For me, it can last for about 1.5 days, and it is still running on Gingerbread. Once ICS is out, the battery life is going to be awesome I believe (based on how it is for other Android devices that I've tried). |

after 1.5day use, really happy with the speed and batt life.
only problem now is i can't detect SSID of my home wifi but can detect neighbour's. other places office, mifi, sister's home all ok. Other laptop can detect the wifi. Suspect the router setting problem. Restart the Dlink router also same. Already changed and Forgot the router password, try to reset it but seems the got problem reset. Anybody got idea how to troubleshoot this? really frustrated now at home. luckily i mostly use laptop at home, only cannot use whatapps, viber, etc. |

QUOTE(calvin_ng @ Sep 8 2012, 07:43 AM) i would recommend Asus RT N13U or N15Uespecially N15U actually since currently they have a promotion where you can trade in a router and have RM50 discount. since no smartphone in my house had a problem connecting to it from HTC to Nokia until Sony, |

Asus is good but firmware still beta... you may need to do firmware upgrade later...
Tplink is official firmware no update and confirm stable by tplink |

I've bought Sony Xperia Go Yellow (but not the Yellow Sports Edition version which includes a wrist strap) for my wife after her Sony Xperia X8 was stolen. Later, we've bought a black phone cover/case for it that comes free with a screen protector. Now, it looks like a Yellow Bumblebee! It is recently updated to the latest firmware 6.0.B.3.184 over-the-air even though I've checked the PTRCB website to reveal the latest certified firmware for ST27i (certified but it is not released yet for update):
http://www.ptcrb.com/vendor/complete/view_...m?modelid=21390 My incomplete review about it: So far, I've tested it to play some videos from our DLNA server but it only plays up to 720p ones. It doesn't play 1080p videos even with third-party players available on Google Play. The videos are very clear and smooth. I've installed avast! Mobile Security app and turn on its Anti-Theft feature this time (forgot to turn the feature on the stolen one). It can be controlled from my my.avast.com account: it is quite an interesting feature! Game-wise: I've installed Dead Trigger (which is now free-to-play) and it is smooth. Its GPS chipset is quite slow to acquire a GPS position in cold-start (it is not so sensitive when going inside a building unlike Xperia X8 even though it manages to see more than 10 satellites in view but it fails to get a fix immediately; maybe due to its low-noise filtering quality) but it is functional anyway when it does tracking. Sometimes, I do notice no connection signal notification coming from it but it seldom happens. In most cases, it works fine and we even use Skype for video calling (it is quite cumbersome due to no front-facing cam; usually we do it via Wifi-N rather than telco network). Is there anyone that uses casing here?
i like it raw and expose because it shows its slim design but thinking of getting a casing to evade needless scratch at back cover |
