bro all sony xperia case is made of PC (polycarbonet) just black they decided to go with rough surface... all plastic are durable... why black is different... according to sony the rough surface provide more grip when you are wearing glove... (hmmmm not making any sense since it is touch screen haha) but all plastic is same...

make sure your screen isn't fully dripping with water as it may interfere
just take a deep breath and blow the screen,the water will move away from the screen nicely

But that's not what the Sony Centre guy said. He said the black one is made from a different material, it's tougher and more likely to survive from being dropped. He didn't say anything about rough surface or grip. He looked like he knew what he was talking about.

Probably he didn't have stock for other colours and was trying to push black instead.....I don't take salesman's word for granted.

Maybe. But he didn't promote anything to me, he was just there to help. Not like a 'salesman' that would push you to buy this or that. Plus this is Sony Centre we're talking about and I think he's smart enough to know that I was just there for the demo and won't pay the max RRP.

Okayla if I get the chance, I'll go to some other Sony Centre to double-confirm

p/s: I'm so mad there still isn't a real 'drop/crash test' video for this phone on Youtube. Tak abis2 water resistant test.

here is the proof... every plastic made my manufacturer need to have a stamp for recycle the stamp identify the plastic material used to made the case

here is the proof

The black plastic stamp there clearly shown (PC) which stands for polycarbonet material... this material is very durable which in automotive term called Metal replacement plastic... this material also used in bullet proof screen or blast resistant screen.

The white case is also mark with (PC) although I didnt take the picture but you can simply open and see for your self....

This cannot cheat... since it is EU regulations.

Black and White is original plastic... you can see the back of it... it is not painted...

If you mean the other side of the cover (that faces the inside of the phone), the yellow one is also yellow on the inside.

then not sure lor... I'll update when I "ter" drop my phone hehe
