You guys... when you bought this phone, is there somekind of screen protector film pre-installed on the screen? I heard that many people complain about scratch, and then other people say it's actually the protective film that's scratched and the scratch will be gone if you remove the protective film.
*
Nope, not for this. For Xperia Active, yes.....but not for Xperia GO.

Flicker issue only happens when brightness is set quite low. I've seen similar issues even in few other models. I think that is normal.

As for battery life, it is not bad. For me, it can last for about 1.5 days, and it is still running on Gingerbread.

Once ICS is out, the battery life is going to be awesome I believe (based on how it is for other Android devices that I've tried).

Use agps to get faster lock
*
Sometimes it is just so difficult to get a lock, especially when using all these running apps, you can see that the connection is spotty.

QUOTE(Neo|ofGeo @ Sep 9 2012, 08:19 AM)
Is there anyone that uses casing here?

i like it raw and expose because it shows its slim design
but thinking of getting a casing to evade needless scratch at back cover
*
I wanted to buy but I can hardly find any soft case (after my terrible experience using hard cases where the cases are so tight that it can damage the phone).

Only found 1 so far from seller tskhor (in Garage Sales). Price is RM34 including screen protector (excluding postage).

Thought of buying but the colours are not very attractive (yes, there is no transparent soft case).

But that's not what the Sony Centre guy said. He said the black one is made from a different material, it's tougher and more likely to survive from being dropped. He didn't say anything about rough surface or grip. He looked like he knew what he was talking about.  hmm.gif
*
Probably he didn't have stock for other colours and was trying to push black instead.....I don't take salesman's word for granted.

i found out my battery drain so fast

8:00am full charge till 4:00pm now my battery left 20% only...

Is it because i keep DATA ON 24/7 ???
btw , i didn't keep constantly (twitter, facebook, whatsapp, calls, etc) using the phone.
only total around 30 mins i did check on my hp... (under normal usage)

anyway, do you guys ON the DATA 24/7 ?
*
Mine data on 24/7 too. Can last for about 1.5 days.

But I am on 2G always because 3G always no network in this phone.

wanted to look for the case Nikkin for xperia go..found one of the seller very sensitive word which i mention "expensive" on courier charge and she reply me in PM "y not u find some other seller that price n quality case as mine?"

i Tot if no discount also i'll still buy from her...but after i saw her reply..i was like "  doh.gif  "
*
As a seller, the way she responded was not right but anyone will not be happy when people just shoot with expensive bla bla bla.

If price is not suitable, then look elsewhere rather than spoiling people's thread.

Well, just my 2 cents. I sell things and I understand how she might have felt (especially when you admit that you will still buy from her despite her courier charges - so I assume that the overall price is still cheap).

Hi all,

My phone got suddenly froze, turned off, went to charge it and it turned with the red light on (even though I put it on to charge few hours) and won't turn on. Then I tried to reset (press the power button and the volume up button together for a few seconds) it seems to sort itself out. Weird ....anyone experiencing the same prob??  rclxub.gif
*
It happens to me when battery runs out. Think it is normal.

wow can you give us any review?  rclxms.gif
*
It is similar to any other ICS out there e.g. Swipe to close etc. Nothing different I would say. As for battery life, no comments yet tongue.gif

Do share your experience or any issues/bugs  blush.gif

Will update my sister's Xperia Go if there's no hiccups  brows.gif
*
Unfortunately it didn't fix the GPS and fluctuating network issue that I had. It makes me to feel that those problems are related to hardware now. Will bring my phone to Sony to get it checked.

QUOTE(doloh @ Sep 29 2012, 05:03 PM)
bro, we need to off the phone ka for update the software? cannot detect la if i follow the sony instruction..
*
Once the update had been downloaded, plus off the cable from both computer and phone. Turn off the phone.

Then plug in to the computer first. After that, hold the volume down and while holding, plug in the cable. The menu on your computer will react and then you can leave the phone to update.

Dynamics seal?

Btw, just check the corners (holes) because they will be hidden. Open all the partitions inside.

Meaning it is easy to maintain this phone, but better to have a casing covering the back. I guess. No front camera and the screen is a bit small...If not, it's quite good with IP67 certified.
*
If you probably bought a yellow unit, you might think twice to get a back case, because it will just cover up everything (and may probably affect the phone's slimness too). I prefer a sleeve or pouch.

Do you experience any lag? I see a lot of people complaining after updating.
*
As for the lag, I personally feel that Gingerbread 2.3.7 was much smoother than ICS.

Others are great in ICS.

How many of you have this issue with ICS on Xperia Go?

The 'Settings' app crashes whenever we select Apps -> Running. It says "Unfortunately, Settings has stopped'
