Hmmm i don't really trust collagen drinks though. They're expensive and only bring short term changes. Maybe if you take it, you might see changes on skin, but after stop taking it, it will be ineffective already. Its like taking drugs or something. Who knows later on there would be side effects?
I had drank Lennox collagen drink but only once, it doesn't interest me enough. The best thing you could do to take care of your face is proper cleansing. I had keep changing my routine again and again to find one that is suitable for me. I know how it feels dear..
Now i'm using nature republic's konjac sponge:D not to forget my diluted lemon juice

Only used it for like 5 days and my mum says that my skin looks brighter and the black spots are hardly visible already. Its only a sponge and before that i was thinking "Oh funny, this sponge is gonna make changes to my face?" but i was amazed with the results. Never judge a book by its cover
I think it might be alright for you to use since it is suitable for all skin types and 100% natural since they're actually made of konnyaku (jelly). It would brighten up your pigmentation

You can continue with your normal, daily skincare reutine. The sponge you can use it after cleansing your face with face wash, and after that let your face air dry. You can later on put on your toner, moisturizer etc (anything that you apply after cleansing)
I bought extras for myself and if you're interested, you can purchase from me

For the time being, i won't take any collagen drinks coz expensive n have to be taken in long term. U mentioned proper cleansing, for now, i'm just washing my face with water, that's all. Will wait n let specialist tell me when I can use skincare products again. I've read about lemon juice applied on the face, but as my face is sensitive at this moment, i won't use lemon juice even after campur with water on my face , afraid of backfired and cause more sensitivity. Thx for your kind advice. Previously i m brave and daring to use many different types of samples/products/facials on my face, but after my face gets worst, just dun dare try this n that.

Hi there,
I understand how u feel because i have the same problem too. Well, i dont trust beauticians anymore because their sole motives are to earn money. so I'd rather extract all the oil seeds by myself. some are easy to extract but some are harder. and one thing for sure is that, after extraction, scars exist. So, u can imagine that my face is covered with scars, although the surface is smooth.
im not only having oil seeds but mild acne/pimples too. Now acne and oil seeds are under control because im using Benzac 2.5% but it makes my skin very dry. cuz it helps to absorb all the excess oil. Now my problems are pigmentation and dryness. I don't dare to apply moisturisers on my face cuz i believe that it will lead to oiliness instead of hydration. Im frustrated.
Added on November 28, 2012, 1:36 pmHi there, hyperpigmentation only arises when u have acne or oil seeds being extracted. once acne and oil seeds are under control, i mean no development of new acne and oil seeds, the existing hyperpigmentation will fade away as time goes by. It is true that sunlight exposure will lead to darkening of existing hyperpigmentation. But i personally don't use sun block due to oiliness that it brings. So, i always bring an umbrella with me wherever I go.
I have both mild acne and oil seeds, i always extract them. Therefore, it results in hyperpigmentation or the so called 'scar'. Although the surface of my face is smooth, the scars are dark in colour. I believe that the scar may take 2 to 3 months to disappear. It just a matter of time. So now, im using Benzac 2.5% to control the acne and oil seeds. and i've been using it for a week already. but the issue is dryness. It has absorbed all the oil from my face, resulted in peeling. but still, i hv to keep using it for controlling both acne and oil seeds.
It's frustrating, right, to have so much problems n not much solution. N the more u do, the problem just gets bigger. Put moisturiser on the dehydrated face but oil seed comes out pulak, or hyperpigmentation keeps spreading till u dunno how to stop it. U said that existing hyperpigmentation will fade away as time goes by? Hmm, i dun think so. From what i m experiencing now, the ones which apear mildly few months ago, now is darker/bigger, it don't fade away. For this few months, many small small pigmentation just keeps growing at an alarming rate. N to know that these small small pigmentation will slowly slowly become darker/bigger really scare the shit outta me.
I hope that u r able to find a solution to your problem. Me too dun trust beautician anymore. Some just want sales, sales, sales, n treat customer's face like shit, doing whatever they want.

Hello dear. My friend is having an exact same problem as yours and like you she has spent tons and tons on facial, products and even AHA and stuff like that.
I'm not too sure about oil seeds but pigmentation is a sure sign of inner health deterioration so your best bet is still repairing your health from inside out and stay away from any whitening products as these are the main culprits.
Because my old aged battle was with acne and pigmentation instead of oil seeds I can only tell you that mine was gone only after a strict revamp of diet and tons of birdnest and I mean those fresh harvested birdnest not commercially prepared ones. Meaning you get a bundle of feather and heaven knows what embedded white clump u soak it and spend hours trying to clean it before double boiling it with juz rock sugar. I was on skin specialist' medication and facial care for more than 5 years and those pills actually lose effect eventually and you keep having to go back on them.
Now with changing my diet and investing in herbal solutions my skin is well I'd say not too bad though occasional one or two huge acne will appear due to stressful work and I still ONLY use my skin specialist's facial wash and nothing else works! If he go bust I'm probably f*. So do try to keep away from doing any facial and if u really want to wait till your skin recover from the inside.
As for collagen drinks well I get those free but only a few really works like magic for skin and lennox is not one of them. Kino BB wif birdnest does tho so if you want try to speed up / boost repair with these but it only works to repair n not maintain unless you keep drinking la of coz. I took unig or something while I was in Taiwan and it was cheap and great. Too bad I can't find it here.
So good luck and feel free to pm me if you need any further advice.
P.s. I know u feel the urge to do something immediately for immediate recovery coz patience when it comes to appearance is not a virtue to most girls but trust me just concentrate on consuming good food n nutrition maybe Krill oil? I have not tried coz I'm too poor but I read good reviews and maybe u wanna do some hormone balancing drinks too. I was actually checking out if ppl tried Lamor2 when I saw this

Whitening product is the real culprit? I thought that using whitening product can lightened the pigmentation? I'm not using anything at this moment coz my skin is still sensitive. U mentioned that your acne/pigmentation is gone after eating birdnest? I'm not doing any facial currently, dun dare to. Currently seeing skin specialist, n he too advised me dun go for facial. I'll PM u, wanna know more about how your pigmentation fades away.

Hey, I am not too sure what oilseeds are, but I used to have bad black head & whitehead problems, also often got acne because of oily skin, and and the oily skin caused large open pores especially on the upper cheeks next to the nose. I have been to a doctor, and what really helped me was a laser treatment, I think the doctor called it Spectra Q-Switch. This kind of laser does not cause scarring, but just kills germs and gets rid of dead skin cell build up. If you read about it online, they also call it laser polishing. It is not painful, feels like a little scratching on the skin and the doctor very quickly moves the laser all over the face. It takes about 10 minutes in total, I would say. Immediately after, the skin looks a little red, like its sensitive, and it feels hot, but it goes away quickly. I had to do this treatment about 5 times, but after that I really saw great improvement. I used to need to squeeze my blackheads on my nose at least once a week, but now I have no more blackheads. And pores also improved a lot. So many ppl told me that after the treatment my skin looks very smooth and 'perfect'. They always say they envy me my 'good skin'! Hahaha. I also had some pigmentation which lightened but didn't go away, and I did IPL to improve that.
A lot of ppl say they are very scared of doing lasers because it sounds very extreme and dangerous, but if you do research online you will see that there are actually so many people who have benefited and improved from laser treatments. I know of one colleague, she had a very bad birthmark on her upper arm, so she never wore any short sleeve dresses, we all thought she was old-fashioned, but suddenly one day she started to wear short sleeves. My other colleague, who is her good friend, told us that she finally solved her bad birthmark problem through laser. I cannot see anything there, so I am not sure if it is true or not, but it is amazing if it is! I only started to believe in lasers when I was studying in Australia because everybody there is crazy about doing lasers, so I tried it for my hair, and it is amazing, already at least 5-6 years, and still no hair! And really, no side effects. I think people are all frightened of trying lasers because they think it is something very experimental and unsafe, but the history of lasers is at least about 30 years old, and the technology is very sophisticated now. If you read singaporean skin forums they all do lasers, it is very common over there. So why not try to find out more about how laser treatments can be helpful to you too?

For now, won't do any laser for my skin coz the skin is already sensitive, doing more may just makes the skin worst. Thx for your recommendation.
There's still oil seed on my face, as well as open pores, as well as hyperpigmentation growing and growing. Every few days will be new hyperpigmentation appearing on my face, so scary. Whenever i look my face on the mirror, i really sakit hati. Last time, half a year ago or 1 year ago, the face no oil seed, no open pores. Now everything change to worst, really effect me emotionally.
I worry a lot about hyperpigmentation now. It's impossible to make it go away once pigmentation appears, can only maybe lightened it. For now, i'm not applying anything on my face. Just wait for Dr to advise me on what to do next. Other skin problem such as age spots keep growing on my legs/arms, i'll ignore for now. There's just too much problems appearing at the same time, i'll just worry more about my pigmentation on my face now.
Thx everyone for recommendation/support/advise. I certainly won't go for any facial at this moment. N certainly won't over-do my face currently after all that have happened. From a happy go lucky person, i've become quite a lifeless person. There's no sparks in my eyes, no life. Seldom smile. This issue have affected me physically n mentally/emotionally. I know realistically my face won't become smooth like last time, but just hoping it'll be better.
