Hi,

I've dry skin both on my face and legs. For this few months, i tried various facials and also many type of moisturisers. Some of the beautician put fruit acid on my face resulting in more drier face as well as open pores problem. N now because all the type of moisturisers i am using, many oil seeds grow beside my nose. Maybe those moisturisers too rich.

So, my question is, how to remove all this many oil seeds? To look for beautician/beauty saloon or to c DR? I dun want to undergo laser, just want them to remove using needle. N which saloon/DR to c n may I know the price? I hope there won't be scar. These oil seeds makes my face appears so rough.

N the 2nd question is, what type of good moisturiser that I can use that can moisturise my face without causing oil seed? I've tried various samples of moisturisers but still caused this problem. Is it to stick to just using face essence or to use water based moisturiser, any brand to recommend? I'm also searching for a good sunblock/sunscreen that don't cause too much oiliness to my face, coz using sunblock on top of those moisturiser surely make my face more oily.

N the last question is, i used Johnson&Johnson body lotion on my leg/arms/hand, n i notice more small red dots appearing, some have grown a bit bigger and become a mole. Now really many red dots on my hands/arms. I'm unsure whether the body lotion causes this, coz b4 i start using this body lotion, i dun face such issues. Any good body lotion to recommend?

I'm really desperate for solution for my oil seed on face, dehydration which caused pigmentation becoming worst, n red dots on my hands/arms. Hopefully forummers have some good advice/recommendation. I'm not lazy, i'm very willing take care of my face, but the more i care for it, the worst it've become. In this 2 months time, from no big pores and no oil seed, and now so many oil seed n open pores, really sakit hati. Thx for reading, pls advise, thx. Anyone experience oil seed removal b4, is it safe with no scar? Pls help.

Hi, you can try jojoba oil for dy skin. It's similar to our natural skin sebum and good for dry skin. I even use it to remove my blackheads. I just rub the oil on my skin after cleanse and I can feel the blackheads coming out. You can mix jojoba oil to your face moisturiser and skin lotion as well if you have dry skin and normal moisturiser just dont do for you. For moisturiser, you can try clinelle moisture glow. If can, avoid using any makeup cos it causes milia and all that. Hope this helps you.

Thx, jsphnng, for your recommendation. I went to c skin specialist yesterday, told him regarding my face oil seed. He gave me 2 cream to apply on oil seed area, one day and one night cream. RM130.

He said no need to use machine for oil seed removal coz my oil seed not that serious, not big type. N using machine could results in scarring.

He told me to use Eucerin moisturiser and for sunscreen, to look for the brand Sunsense or Physiogel. He said the red dots/moles on my arms is maybe due to allergy to perfumes of the body lotion. Ask me to switch to Eucerin or Eubos brand.

I'll try the cream that he gave for my oil seed for the next 2 months, i know it's no miracle creams. Even the Dr can't say that the oil seed will surely be gone. So, if still no reduction of oil seed in this few weeks time, i may go c other skin specialist at Subang.

I suggest to try out what the dermatologist give you first. Avoid trying too many products.

FYI, for aloe vera gel, it might be too dry for you because you have dry skin.

For myself, I have dry legs as well. I just put on more lotion - try Redwin.

http://www.redwin.com.au/sensitive-skin-pr...n-moisturisers/

You can buy it from Caring Pharmacy - so far i check only Caring has it. It's about RM18 for the big pump bottle - should be 500ml one la. It has no fragrance and doesn't leave the waxy feeling after use (aloe gel will leave this kind of film after feel after applying). Should be good for the whole body as well.

For my body I use Fruits of the Earth lotion.

http://www.fote.com/prod_skin_lotion.html#

I use the Vitamin E SkinCare Lotion. The one with the orange cap one. Will not cause breakouts because I used to have back acne before and this one is good. Also no fragrance. It's about RM9-RM10 per bottle. Should be 16oz (around 500ml) one. Guardian, Watson & Caring got sell. But caring got promo for 2 bottles RM15 both 16oz.

HTH.

Edited to add: This will not cure the dryness but it will help to maintain the moisture in your skin.

I'm using extra moisture body lotion from aviance. Previously I used Rosken as I have dry skin for my legs. I kinda like this extra moisture body lotion from aviance compared to Rosken as it's non greasy/sticky. Besides, there's shear butter in this body lotion which makes my skin smooth after apply.

Shazzac, u r right. I'm quite desperate trying this and that skincare counter's sample coz face getting worst (increased in the color and number of pigmentation, open pores getting bigger, small oil seed getting more), n trying so many things actually doesn't help my face's condition at all.

The cream that the dermatologist gave me is to apply on oil seed area only. I'll check out the brand Eucerin moisturiser and Sunsense sunscreen as recommended by him. Will also check out the brand Redwin as u said.

This 2 months, from dehydrated skin, n now more problem coming up. Maybe i should look for a good beauty saloon and at least help with my dehydration issue 1st.

As for oil seed, open pores issue, better solve 1st step dehydration problem 1st. I just can tell myself find a good beauty saloon 1st, then search for products suitable for my skin, n hopefully skin will be better.

I've till now spent nearly rm1K d on products and trying different facial that suits my skin, and things just getting worst. Maybe i should just settle with a good beauty saloon, n hope all this saloons dun make my oil seed problem getting worst.

Hope is the thing that can make me calm down now. Thx for all your advise.

Oh no poor thing, it really sucks to have skin problems. Believe me, i've had oil seeds and red pimple scars that were really stubborn and didnt want to go away.

I've tried so many acne products, wasted my money on expensive ones and false promises. But i saw this groupon offer for extraction facials and went for it. I even got a really cheap student price too. Luckily the facialist there are not the hard sell type, although they tried to sell me really overpriced products, but once i said no they never asked again.

I assumed u went for extractions right? They were really a pain, but it removed my clogged oil seeds that had been there for years. I only went for a period of 5 months and during then, i found out about naruko products, they are purely made out of natural extracts and it really worked out for my skin. Especially the tea tree treatment, its my favorite. My facialist even remarked that my oil seeds and pimples have reduced a lot, hence i think i dont need the facials anymore.

But the point is, be careful of what u apply to your face. If you're having oil seeds and such, it means u have sensitive skin. It doesnt matter how expensive the product is, the key is natural extracts, read the ingredients to determine how good the product is. Don't just buy something that will only harm your skin.

I went once 1st time trial gua sha facial, face quite smooth after that for a week. Gua sha treatment ain't hydrating, right? Will it actually makes the face worst if go gua sha for long term every mth? The place where i go for 1st time gua sha facial, the beautician explain that if i sign up for the facial package, they won't every month do gua sha for me, it depends on my skin condition. I'm now looking for facial place/good beautician that can help in hydrating my face and can lessened my oil seed issue. It's good to hear that your face is improving.

I went for various types of facial at different beauty saloons this few mths. N the beautician said the same thing. Oil seed can't be taken out coz mine is not those big popping out type. Mine is tiny little little but quite a lot type. Even the consultant dermatologist that i went to c last week just give me cream to apply on oil seed area, and told me no need for machine removal to remove the oil seed coz he said mine not serious, n also it may leave scars if using machine.

I used Naruko mask twice, the Rose Aqua range. 1st time, remove the mask, 'dab' the remaining essence on my face and go to sleep. Next morning, saw tiny little bumps appearing on my face, either not suitable for my skin or too rich for my skin. 2nd time use, remove the mask d, and wash face. Then the side of my nose start appearing a few oil seed.

That is few months ago. Now more n more oil seed appearing coz trying many products, maybe some really unsuitable for my skin. I put on a moisturiser on my face, few hours later, can c the face shiny. Heard some ppl said that maybe coz face is dehydrated, resulting in face producing oil.

For now, spent rm1K d and not yet find solution. No results seen yet. Hope to find a good beautician as well as suitable products for my skin. I hope no need spend more n more and paling sakit hati is, no results, no improvement.

I went for a consultation with a beautician last week, she teaches me to follow her steps 1st. She said cleansing properly is a very important steps. If the 1st step is not done properly, any good essence/moisturisers also can't be absorbed. I agree with her. Been following her advice this few days. Hope to try her facial this few days, that the facial can help my face improve, n hope she's the 'one' who can help me.

U r right, SereneAshley, sometimes when girls r desperate to improve the skin condition, can really buy unnecessary product n put on the face. At the end, do more harm than good to the face. When harm is already done, then have to fork out more $ n time to 'repair' it again.

I think good cleanser n toner is not hard to find, but a good moisturiser that suits me which my face dun break out tiny pimples or little bumps, as well as a good sunscreen/sunblock really hard to find. Mostly all moisturiser/sunblock/sunscreen got alcohol or fragrance. I read that Hado Labo sunscreen no alcohol, but also read that it don't provide enough or good protection.

I'll continue to think n act rationally (not wasting unnecessary $) to look for good beautician and suitable products for my skin. Thx for your kind advice.

Gua Sha is for making our face blood circulation to move. I've been doing Gua Sha facial for 6months = 6times. Mine even if i sign package also no need pay one shot, I pay every month when she comes n do my facial.

I have a very sensitive skin. I've tried Clinique, Cell ique, other brands as well but make it more worse.

I have a lot of oilseeds too on my forehead especially sad.gif Been changing many products as well
Whenever I cleanse my face (currently I'm using Gamila soap bar) my face feels really tight and itchy. They said its normal after using that soap bar as the active ingredients are detoxing my face.

To avoid the irritation, I quickly apply Nature Republic 92% Moisturising & Soothing Aloe Vera Gel. It contains real organic aloe vera and have a cert from California. The gel does make my face calm but however, it did not clear up much of my oilseeds. My sebum got lesser as well. You can try getting them at Nature Republic outlets at around RM36 if I'm not mistaken. Or you can just purchase from other forumers.
Its really a big tub, 300ml and since its natural ingredient, its suitable to use as mask, hair styling, make up base, nail care and body lotion as well. Highly recommend this! Cheap yet have many functions! Can use from top to toe! I don't think I can finish the tub of it myself smile.gif
The first time it may be a little itchy, after 2 or 3 times applying it then it would be fine. If face irritation still occur, you can still use it for other purposes. that way, you wouldn't waste your money. It would be better if you refrigerate it before use for cooling and soothing effect.

Hydrating skin is most important. Skin that is overly dry can cause more oil and sebum.
For now, I think its better if you moisturize your skin first than to prevent oilseed cause when your skin is hydrated, oil/sebum is less and next, clears up and avoid oilseeds from growing even more.
Always make sure your hair is pinned up and avoid from keeping touch on your face.
If you can, don't use sunblock. Sunblock is too rich for your current situation. I've read it from somewhere that says moisturizers and sunblocks are products which are very rich and definitely not suitable for those who have oilseed.

Try taking some supplements (I'm eating spirulina for now) and drink more water.
Hope this helps and good luck dear!

Yeah, i agree hydration is important. When the skin is plump, pigmentation also seems not that obvious. I actually just went for a facial. This beautician using EPI products. She's very kind, not pushy. Explained to me that my face have many dead skin which if not exfoliated will caused more issues. She said that the 1st step which is proper cleansing is important.

I also agree with what she said. For now, i'll cleanse properly, and maybe will buy a good gentle exfoliating gel/cream which i can exfoliate everyday or every other day. I'm currently using Laneige Peeling Gel which the beautician said maybe too mild that can't really help exfoliate my skin properly. I'll try other facial next month, and then only decide which saloon i'll choose.

Besides the oil seed issue, my pigmentation have also increase in amount. Dunno which to care 1st, oil seed or pigmentation. But pigmentation really cause me to worry. Coz once it appears d, really hard to lightened it. If dun use sunblock, can't coz got pigmentation. If use moisturiser then use sunblock, too moisture will make oil seed appears. I just confused with what i should do.

For now, i'll just focus on finding good beauty saloons, and suitable products for my face 1st. I've to care oil seed, then care about pigmentation, then open pores, just makes me lagi worry.

As for my body (arms/legs area), when i using Johnson's body lotion, red dots appears on my hands/arms, the DR said maybe i'm allergic to fragrance of the body lotion. Then i switched to using Redwin Sensitive Skin Sorbolene Moisturiser on my legs, hands, and arms. N same ending, i've notice red/brown dots on legs/arms/and hands.

I've searched on the net saying that maybe coz the skin is clogged, resulting in such red dots. I'll try different way again, i'll scrub my body, then after that use the body lotion and observe whether more red dots will appear or not. My skin is dry, i've to use body lotion ,yet red dots appear once i started using lotion. I just have to use other ways and observe and c how.

I'm not lazy to care for my skin. Just dunno what to do. Making me feel fed-up sometimes, coz the amount of $ being used is increasing, yet no good results, no good solutions.

Skin dehydrated - I use moisturiser but caused oil seed. Pigmentation - I'm still finding good sunblock/sunscreen that's suitable, but using moisturiser then use sunblock, face maybe can't accept pulak resulting in more oil seed. N for body, skin so dry that areas like the elbow skin is flaky flaky, but using body lotions caused suddenly many red/brown dots on my arms/legs. Just have to think of other ways on how to care for such issues. Thx for your advise.

Do you drink enough water dear? Or did you take any supplements currently? Makeup?
IMO if keep changing products isn't too good. Its like letting the face get "culture shock" if you know what I mean.
About your dry skin, try using natural aloe vera extract and apply them. Cheap and may work for you cause its all natural.

I understand how you're feeling. I've spent more than 1k as well since last year.
Went to doctor, facials, skincare and stuffs like that.
Now I had stopped everything. I just cleanse and apply the aloe gel. No sunblocks or anything and hoping that natural way can avoid those.
(And also hoping my puberty will end now)

For pigmentation, maybe you can try using BB creams? Have sunblock function as well.
But must make sure that it must be removed at the end of the day else it would clog up pores

I tried drink more water nowadays. I didn't take any supplements. N certainly no make-up for me. Dun want make my skin becoming worst.

Yeah, i tried different types of skin products, mostly samples. Some beautician said cannot, some said it's ok as long as my skin is healthy. I'll try a beauty saloon facial nxt mth and maybe purchase their products if it suits me. Then i no need try this brand or that brand's samples d.

Haha, beblink, so u too have the same frustrated feeling coz spending so much $ and no results. Me too have the same feeling. I just went for a facial few days ago, n previous pigmentation which is not so obvious have become more obvious now. N i m very very seldom under the sun, but pigmentation just increase in amount, and from not so obvious have become more obvious.

RM1K+ is just the beginning. Facial package+products certainly the amount will be triple of this amount. I'm ok if it solve my problem. But if all this $ and still problem increases and not decrease, then lagi sakit hati.

I won't use any BB cream for now. I'll just drink more water, stay out of the sun, cleanse my face properly, make my face more hydrated. Make up n other stuff ain't what i wanna touch now. Thx for your advise. I'll just take one step at a time, n focus on a good beauty saloon and purchase their products once i've found the facial is great/good/suits my skin.

I went for my facial at this beauty salon and saw some good results.
Bought the trial kit and it does made my face improve. Then when it finished, I bought the big ones of the same thing.
And that time, my face start to sort of get used to that item, which made no improvement but instead, worsened my condition.
Those had already cost me more than 500 (the trial set 300+, big bottles is like 100+ each which I bought like 3 items)
It does get on my nerves.

Supplements are good for health and face. Try spirulina tablets smile.gif
I ate for a week and saw my skin became fairer and lesser pimples. Not sure if it works on pigmentation.
But i think overall, its worth a try. For health and for beauty smile.gif

Good luck dear!
