Ya anyone who know which dealer who sell lenovo y500 that provide 0% EPP that will absorb the merchant fee(around 2 -4%)?? cos the seller that i found they request customer to pay that fee.. As i know the cost of merchant fee shouldnt be paid by customer.

I rarely go to lowyat as I know most of them only want people to buy their gadget no matter what happen. I rather stick here online and stick with people that know their product well before purchasing anything. Even my Y400 I bought at Lenovo Concept Store JB. The salesman really know bout the product as they really know what to recommend to potential customer about which model suit most, plus their explaination very well.

About the warranty, they told me that any additional part is not covered by warranty as I asked them bout SSD that time.

why my laptop can't shutdown

Using Windows 8? Move your mouse to the corner of your Windows. And a bar with 5 icons will appear. Click on the gear icon, settings, power, shut down. Or just Ctrl+Alt+Delete and there will be a shut down button. Or press Alt+F4 at desktop there, choose shut down. If really cannot do anything, press the power button of your laptop for 10 seconds.

it goes to welcome home page instead of shutdown lol

Is there any windows update running at the background?

if buy msata then can put into y500 directly ? can put and use without any configuration? how can we know it is working? any noticeable effect? e.g. faster windows 8 boot load?

Hey, I have some questions about Y400, which I heard does not support optional graphic (but I dont understand why can I buy one:D http://shop.lenovo.com/us/itemdetails/0C22...B517832F7D2264A )
1. So if Y400 has only one GT 650M, and cant have any more, means that it has Optimus technology? (would be great)
2. I read also that there is no chance for extra HDD drive in drive caddy..dont really know why - such things you can read in some forums...
3. Does Y400, or Y480 have subwoofer? - I havent seen that information anywhere..
4. Any much differences between Y400 and Y480? I am not talking about visual - color etc.Not mantion ultrabay. Which one has better chassing?
5. Can I have Windows 7 on it normally? There are F11 and F12 special for W8...Whey wont work on W7 or what?

1. Who told you Y400 cant have another GT650m?
2. Drive candy for Y400 is not same size to Y500. Should will have drive candy for Y400 soon.
3. No. Only JBL Speaker.
4. Ultrabay, wide air vent, red backlight.

They want 4300-4500zł for y500 in here. For this price (or lower) I can have Clevo P150EM or 350ETQ...so I think thats a better deal. Is it worth now waiting for 4th gen I7 and Geforce 700? They said there will be "new" socket 1150 not HM77, not sure if they were talking about laptops.(http://forums.anandtech.com/showthread.php?t=2270059) Dont know...I just need something good for 5-6 years;)
