The friggin high tension on my strings are hurting my fingers, almost bleeding.

high tension ?.. is it an electric guitar or an "electrified" guitar you're playing on ? laugh.gif (sorry, that's lame...)

my wife strongly despised my current solo (and so did I to be frank), so i have to redo it biggrin.gif she found it was too mechanical sometimes and too "out" at some other points ! I was definitely "in" but I guess too much on the edge, so a listener would feel it's out ? Interesting. Anyway I have to start again from scratch... I'll share it with you though, later, because I really liked the mechanical part... an ultra fast tapping thinggy, like surfin with the alien "chaingun".

Am I too self-indulgent if I listen to my track over and over again???
I think this is one of my favorite solos I have ever done........

And Reload..... the levels are much better this time around....... good job!

I'm not that good. Anyway I would like to give my 2 cent advice:

1) Carefull on your timing
2) Do not play completely out off scale.

It's OK play abit slow.

Actually, have to agree with Jemi..... alot of us still think playing fast is impressive......

As long as the groove is there, doesn't matter if it's fast or slow. My solo wasn't earth shattering fast... but at least I TRY to keep it in time and nail all the notes right everytime.......

Yeah, second Jemi's comment. HH7, work on your bends and vibratos too, some of the bends aren't in tune. thumbup.gif

Haven't start recording yet lol, maybe this Friday. smile.gif

Also, whoever's recording next, please erase (or silence) the static noises at the end....... I still cringe when I hear it.

Its not a comment, just piece of advice to all including me.

As blacktix said, its not about playing slow slow or fast.

This an opportunity to all of us to learn scale & melody. Best to have discipline on our playing.

Take your time when creating melody.

Try this:
Re play what ever recorded.

I know... on the last Jam...... took me soooooo long to nail one. I'm STILL not happy with it.....

THat's why this time I learned that the first few takes are always the best.
