Hi there,

Please comment on which style you'd like to play, and whether you're gonna participate. Even if you're not, please tell us what you'd like the players to play on.

Me, or Evo or Led Zep will try to find a suitable track from previous or current guitar techniques issues.

Let's close this topic by friday, to be able post the backtrack before/during the week end.

Reminder : the LYN Jam provides a back track (Drums + Bass + Rythm), in which each participant will have a certain slot (about 30 to 60 seconds), during which he can do whatever he wants (editing, add overdubs, add rythm, EQ, limited to his slot ONLY).

Guitar, keyboards, trumpet, vocals, piano, keyboards, bass, drums... all instruments welcome !!

(please, accept my apologies for the limited choices of "genres", but available backtracks are quite limited) (next time, your genres' suggestion will be taken into account, promise)

Let's ROCK the FUNK out and JAZZ it up till bleeding BLUE METAL will pour over the COUNTRY ! laugh.gif

altho i voted for metal jam track, i actually like to see our forumers to jam in blues and funk....based on the last 2 jam session (if i'm not mistaken) ....

In music, everything's only limited to your imagination! Have you seen The Who's keyboard player? His synthesizer's plugged into the Line 6 POD XT!

He probably uses it for the effects and overdrive anyway, but it looked pretty cool heh.

something prog-metal like Dreamtheater would be nice, got lots of different variations in one whole song... can accomodate many styles of players we have. and also the songs are usually long, so more people can participate.

i wanna join, if i'm not using guitars, i might add in some synths or samples heheh...

I've ripped 3 Backing CDs but most of the tracks are around the 4:00 mark. sad.gif
Though, there're some really good ones that I could share, anybody care for a torrent so that you could practise to the tracks? thumbup.gif

Punk is the total opposite of Prog lol! Prog stands for progressive, and the music's usually complicated with odd time signatures, weird chords, lesser known keys etc... Basically music that's progressinglar.

Alright, gimme a sec, I'ill upload them.

Edit : Got them from various magazines. smile.gif
