if you need a good bargain, don't buy on releasing day. Wait for a while and sure you can have good buy then.....

directd's S3 now already breaking the 1700 barrier, a sign of Samsung slash price for smartphones?

if you go SEP buy sure at RRP price
no need to think note 2 RRP at the range that you mention just now
is impossible

ya, impossible to get such low price, especially during the 1st few weeks

but its good if Samsung is really reducing price for smartphones, benefits orang miskin like me

because everywhere sure low stock, then those shop got stock sure increase price like crazy
every phone also same, best example is s3 few months ago, increase until 2.5k =_=

now you should pray that SEP is selling note 2, not telco selling it with plan
if not need to pre-order from SEP and wait .....

i pray for:

1) fast price reduction (just like S3)

2) my pocket got $$$

3) u-mobile dont give me any headache

Can you imagine if you got it at the very beginning for RM2.5K and now just 2 months you can have it at RM1.7K Ridiculous!!!!!!

imho, mod is over-rated.

i've used sgs2 and note and never had the need to root/ mod/ flash. but yes, i do miss the fact that without rooting, there's no other FREE way to backup my game data (referring to titanium backup).. but well, it's only game progress... so i can live without it

otherwise, the phone is good without having to do any 'tech' stuffs.

I noticed this bargain cheap price was due to price war between two shop in particular..DirectD and OneGadget. Both of them keep on slashing the price just to be on top of the others.
Good - consumer can buy high-end phone at low price
Bad - nearly none re-sale value.

while they're slashing prices, S3 is still selling 19xx and 20xx at my hometown

not consider signing contract? I got S3 for my wife at RM999 only with Maxis 2 years contract. I consider it very worth since we need the data plan anyway and my wife does not change her phone very often.

Some calculations for S3:
(RM30 calls + RM68 3GB data) x 24 + RM999 - RM2,199 RRP = RM1,152
RM1152/24 = RM48/month for calls and 3GB data, well worth it.

Cross finger that they will also offer Note II at the same price with the same package.

but i suspect they are under same boss... heh heh...

got a fren... trying to port over and get the s3... already 3 minggu. some problems partly on his side... and partly on u mobile side.

he already got the s3 accessories... just no s3 yet... hahaha...

but if all clear, can get ported the next day.

I'm just waiting for it to be released in the US, then I'll probably sign it under AT&T.

then should not have... but porting pre-paid to pre-paid... dun think you get any device deals/ discounts, right?
