rofl ....

beck to topic, ferret reminds me SARS. Ferret is a kind of food in China, I dunno if Jalan petaling's ferrets are for food purpose too. lol i guess not.

Anyway, ferret won't smelly because as a pet, their 'smell kelenjar' will be removed after they are born. Wild ferret still smelly, remember that XD

Jalan Petaling is for pet wan.... Rm900, left only one, saw it yesterday.

Well, if get from petshop like Pets Wonderland, they descent the ferrets first coz it is imported in. Like my friend ah, dunno where he get the ferrets, I dunno if descented or not but they aren't smelly.

Some people do not descent them as they do not know.... but ferrets are cute lah.

China don't eat ferret, they eat civet cat, totally different heheh tongue.gif

haiya, talking about musang, kinda remind me how mad i was at my neighbour. My place have a lot of musang and one day my neighbour caught one musang using a rat trap(cage) and let him on that cage without food and water. I was so mad because that was not the first time they did like that. Lucky my father gave some foods behind my neighbour's back. Oh ya, the reason they caught that musang was because they afraid that musang will kill their chickens. I couldnt tahan anylonger and one evening, i sneaked at their backhome and let the musang out and pretend know nothing about it. Worth my ninja training! Now I'm glad they didnt do it anymore. (hope so)!

guys, i got worse experience w the musang. I live near kampung tunku and some part of that area near cemetery so a lot of grasses and bushes. My house is the old type got asbestos siling one so in between the roof tile and silling got empty space. One day my neighbour said she saw a mother civet with three anak following behind her they all go up the roof and disappeared. Then few days later my siling look like got leak but no raining and the wet spot bcome yellow so I suspect someone do their business up there yawn.gif . One week later in the middle of the nite bising bising suddenly like birds chirping sound and footsteps going boom boom boom on the siling....now no more noise but still see one or two musang practising acrobat on the electric wire outside my house LOL... laugh.gif

another time my auntie opened the front door one nite saw tis fella crawling along the wall she took a banana and lure the baby into a chicken cage, then when next morning I make a noose and put the baby in a guni bag and released him in bukit gasing hehe...

Ferrets are not actually smelly... though they do intend to have a little musky odour. And they generally dont bite... The smell tends to get lesser as they grow. I owned a pair, a sable male and an albino. I kept them in my room with me but in the toilet la.. At first the smell was quite bad coz they are young and the ventilation wasn't that good. As they grow the smell got lesser and i have installed a ventilation fan. After that it was great!

My neighbour caught an adult musang not long ago and asked me if I wanted it. What was I gonna do with a musang?? I looked at it and it was caught using a rat trap and had very big eyes with brownish fur. Cute though even though all it did was hiss at me. I asked her to let it loose but I don't really know what she did. I think she let it loose la, she's not a cruel person. smile.gif

Cute pics btw. biggrin.gif

Honestly... ferrets for rm300 is a steal!!! I got my pair for rm1400 ler... Not really smelly ah.. Depend mostly to ventilation system and the food. At first the food they are having does cause a little bit more oil excretion then i change to science plan due to better price and better quality. Then their smell reduces drastically! I kept them in the my bath room so the ventilation wasn't that good at first. So i install a ventilation fan ( just cost bout rm40 ) then smelly no more. Really.. they are very good pet cause they dont make much noise, they are cute and extremely playful... not to mention intelligent as well...

Wow, your ferrets are just beautiful. Do they nip you to show affection?

Nope... But i m sure they love me. The male never bites except when we first got him home... But now he never bite. He is even more gentle than the female. The girl (white 1) however never bite when she is a baby... but now just playful bite.. strangely she only bites people's toes.. Not painful though...

They are really lovely. Too bad ferrets are not popular pets in Malaysia yet, seldom see them in petshps.

I've always wanted to get a ferret but everytime I go to the pet stores -- omg they stink! But I'm glad that there are descented ferrets available. Might want to get one in the near future. Who knows, it might be a great companion for my maine coon cat who's extremely docile -- a real gentle giant.

I went to Pet Safari a few months back and saw the ones they had for sale. Gosh, they were in terrible condition la. sweat.gif But to be fair, their entire small animal section stinks. rclxub.gif
