OH, now that is interesting. Do provide more info as I only get info from the internet and my friend who had those intact with their scent glands so he said they were smelly. I know Pets Wonderland petshop sold imported ones with their scent glands removed.

It would be good to post some pictures and articles to educate those that aren't familiar to the pet. thumbup.gif

My little girl was get from pets wonderland so I think that's y my girl has no those smell that you all mentioned. About the vet that I mentioned in few previous post, I'm not yet go for the vet but this is what pets wonderland told me. Hope they not lie to me wink.gif .

Sorry, I have lose the ferret food website....But I'm giving IAMS and another cat food brand (I forgot the name) for my ferret. Yup, mix these 2 together. Remeber, ferret needs a time to get used on what he/she eats so you cannot change his/her food to another brand totally, but chnage slowly.

Ahhhh... no wonder no smell. That is good.

So far the vets near my area don't know and don't have ferret vaccination.... maybe Subang got since some vets there treat rabbits now.

How old is your ferret?

Have you tried Royal Canin brand of catfood? It is better than Iams.

she is one year old now....I just buang the cat food packet to dustbin....so can't remember the brand's name. But I can recognize it if I look at the packet again. Since our malaysia pet store does not provide ferret food, so mixed 2 cat food is better for ferret. This is recommend from some website and the taiwan website.

Get kitten food for ferret....dun get adult cat food...unless your ferret is too old....

Yah, they need high protein. Same as hedgehog. I feed my hegdehog cat and kitten food.

For high protein should try Inova EVO. It is holistic has no corn preservatives and is like the only catfood with the highest protein(49%).

Now quite hard to find Ferrets. The last one I saw for sale was a young male that was not descented, was RM600 or RM500....

Thread starter, do you mind changing ur topic to "ferret" instead of "furret"? It's kinda misleading for those who don't know what's that.

And the scent gland can be lasered to remove the ordour.

i know they like to play a lot. MY friend was babysitting 2 baby ferrets fo a while i went n see. Gila cute lar..they see ppl only they will call out n wanna come out n play. run around...cute habis!!!

Yeah..one problem is descenting them. Should find out a vet clinic where they kno hwo to treat exotics lar...ferrets n hedggies...reptiles too.
Really duno of any lar. All cat n dog only...

Ferret price above rm600 wan lar..i;ve never seen below 600.
rm780 is not bad price considering already descented n it was in good condition. Pay a bit more is ok...as long as u get a healthy friend dat will live long. Hehe.

haha.....ya, ferret is a cute animal...they r active but will not active for a long time. take my ferret as an example, she can play for about half an hour, then she will start to sleep.....

She whole day activity is like this, sleep few hours -> wake up and walk around few hours -> sleep again -> wake up and walk/play -> repeat this routine....
