QUOTE(Samurai X @ Feb 3 2013, 10:05 PM) ahpaul82 i'm not sure, the technician there can't explain this to me also... Thanks for sharing. Wah! Proton ori spark plug is so expensive. I can buy brisk spark plug already. You get your car done in PESC Desa Tun Razak? Just curios, error code B1003-41 is a symptom of clock spring almost end of life span? (look junior) but according to HERE, affected model only on Proton Gen.2 1.6 A/T with auto-cruise function and Satria Neo 1.6 A/T with auto-cruise function, manufactured between April, 2004 to June, 2008. These models may possibly carry defective Clock Springs. Mine Manual does not have Auto-Cruise function. i got my car check at WORLD CAR CARE SERVICES SDN BHD QUOTE(chipotato @ Feb 3 2013, 10:26 PM) No, the price showed is for genuine plug cable only, i changed back to stock spark plugs where only used 17k-km. anyhow, stock spark plug very cheap only, <RM10 per piece. |

QUOTE(ahpaul82 @ Feb 3 2013, 11:03 PM) of course now fine you already repair the problem isnt. i still havent change my coil. already more than 160k. time to change? so far no prob. about the plug cable i think cps is very good cable for a standard cable. gcc listed changing plug cable as one of the mod. i dont think our cps needs that upgrade. i once tried r3 plug cable. no difference so just sold it and put back standard plug cable. |

Technician only clear the AirBag error code, he can't explain to me why this error message is in History, and i do not wish to see this error message or indicator lights up in future ! your ignition coil why need change if no problem? |

QUOTE(ahpaul82 @ Feb 1 2013, 04:55 PM) Hey guys, anyone interested to bulk purchase below item? [Oxygen sensor] Lambda Sensor (PW811631) Waja CPS/Gen2 CPS same use. Price i can get is RM180/pc, Genuine Proton Spare Parts. I'm going to replace mine soon. QUOTE(ahpaul82 @ Feb 3 2013, 02:05 PM) My car having symptoms of a failing oxygen sensor includes: Sensor Light on dash indicates problem Increased fuel consumption Hesitation on acceleration First time Engine Check Light turn on during Sept2012 when i'm going Cameron Highlands, that time mileage around 98k+ km. after that the ECL suka suka lights up until now. i believe the O2 Sensor is the culprit. this one: ![]() QUOTE(ahpaul82 @ Feb 3 2013, 03:50 PM) Hey guys, hummm...paul, i just change my spark plug...vvery new...the O2 sensor ya?i think i wanna bulk too....then my thermostat osso probably almost die...drive fast on highway at night the temperature level goes to the coolest... some story to share, I guess some of you notice my car break down a week+ ago in Taman Connaught around 11pm when i was on my way to my girl house. symptoms of failure: - engine suddenly lost power. - engine making boor boor boor sound when acceleration. - car jerking like hell at low RPM. Manage to pull my car at roadside, (die die drive it out of the main Connaught Highway) seeking advice from a friend and he suspect is the spark plugs failure after listen my description. call my girl and wanted she come fetch me back home take tools because i wanted to remove spark plugs by myself and so late night all workshop closed. After get the tools and spare stock spark plugs, first and second spark plugs remove successfully, (very very tight) when i try to remove the third plug cable, bad thing happened, the plug cable front portion broken ! (first, second and fourth remove easily) [attachmentid=3294484] [attachmentid=3294485] Suspected the inconsistent voltage supply cause spark plug cable broken. (die die drive back to safe place) due to i don't have long nose pliers, i have to leave my car overnight there.......... since one of the Spark Plug cable broken, it must replace, got price quoted from a friend who selling Genuine Proton Spare Parts, Kindly take note the standard Campro Spark Plug Cable is different compare with Campro CPS Spark Plug, if same use why Proton come out two different part number at the first place, right? [attachmentid=3294487] after bought spark plug cable back to my car, hands was so tired yesterday eventually seeking help from a workshop nearby, paying a workmanship service to remove and re-install stock spark plugs and cable. at last car back to vroom vroom mode! on the way back home my car suffering low RPM (1.8k rpm - 2.8k rpm) jerking badly ! at first i thought is the stock plugs issue, after back home do one round internet research, it could be a possible Ignition Coil faulty ! As understand our car ignition coil is under brand Bosch, a quick search in mudah.my, got one seller selling wrongly bought ignition coil, with no further hesitate i drive to Kg Keramat and COD with him at the same day, deal with great price. A short discuss with that guy he also driving a Gen2, but his problem is on the plug cable but bought the ignition coil as standby unit in case his car ignition coil rosak also. [attachmentid=3294488] Chit Chat finished fast fast back home DIY, took me two hours to replace the ignition coil, start engine and a short drive nearby, Viola ! no more jerking at low RPM !!! personal feeling is that the car feel more solid in whole rpm range with less vibration. Total cost to replace both items: Genuine Proton Spark Plug Cable = RM270 Workmanship = RM10 Bosch Ignition Coil = RM100 Total = RM380. the stock spark plugs would be temporary usage, will get it change back to Iridium Spark Plugs soon. Notice the faulty spark plug? [attachmentid=3294489] Terminal damaged... Ignition System consist below three items: - Spark Plug - Spark Plug Cable - Ignition Coil got it all check if you feel abnormal on your car. After replaced all the parts, i guess is necessary to pay a visit to Service Center for Proton Advance Diagnostic Tool (PADT) checking, the guy plug in the PADT tool into ODBII Port, using WiFi to connect with his laptop. the guy help me clear all the errors detected in off engine status. re-check again in Engine Cranked. below are the error screenshots i capture: [attachmentid=3294445] O2 Sensor giving Engine Check Light turn on intermittently, it could be in no so good condition already. The Technician mention if this indicate light up again is time to replace the sensor. [attachmentid=3294447] the ABS indicator light up after last time Dyno due to front wheel rolling only when Dyno-ing, not a big issue i guess. [attachmentid=3294448] this error, no idea what is that.. but i never see this indicator lights up before. charges for checking is RM60. Apologize for long winded, just sharing and Thanks for watching. |

CPS really need to whack? Last time I always rev '99' engine feels very light. Now I drive mostly below 100km/h.
When I try to push over 4k rpm, car feel sluggish. Maybe ECU become lazy. Just service with 10w-40 Eneos some more I just DIY installing oil catch tank connecting the PCV. During idle, car got hissing sound. Idle rpm also 920. Is this normal idle rpm for CPS? |

Bro samurai x my idle was set around 1k rpm ++ a bit. But I think 920rpm couldn't harm anything. Btw bro wat if the function for OCT? Said it recommend to always hi revving engine. Got shop in jb selling rm60 but not including install. Is it easy to install? Now I like to do diy or "pomen" my car whenever I got free time..it make me feel sastisfied when the project is working & can get to know more about cars. Thanks |

During high rev, OCT help to catch the excessive engine oil which come out from the pcv valve to manifold. This will keep the intake manifold clean. If you stand in front of the car, PCV hose is located at the left side of the engine head. The right side with bigger hose is breather which go back into air intake. I am planning to install 2 oil catch tank and see how is it Will post the picture soon as I am still learning the Campro CPS engine. |
