does your big speaker got another different cord for power supply? if not, it is pulling the power from the vita, it is not surprising the Vita performance will be affected by this.

I often connect it to my desktop speaker, which was USB powered from my desktop at the same time, didn't notice any performance issues.

I standby my vita and never touch it for 2-3 weeks and last night i on vita battery is still full
Unlike 3ds.. Standby for few days alreaady dead ..

yes, it has a very efficient standby mode, of course your 2-3 weeks will go down to 2 days if you have a game running then put it on standby

yeap...i always put it on standby mode. IMO battery life vita better than 3DS .
