I've had the D600 for just over a week now. Shooting with it has been a joy! AF is accurate, AWB is bloody accurate and the cleanliness of the images at ISO6400 never fails to bring a smile on my face. Well today, i dropped by beloved D600. The LCD protector took the impact and cracked, while my battery door fell off!!! Luckily the door itself is not damaged and simply clicks back in place..... smile.gif

Hey!! Got mine for around 6.8k. This is cause I'm from Kuching, and or street prices are generally a little higher than yours. The camera shop I got to sold 10 units in two days!! Sudden influx of used D7000 and D700!!!

ISO 1600, F2.8, 1/400s

Dancers in action.. biggrin.gif , the right gal is floating.. drool.gif

cute~ but why do you have to use 1600 ? wat lens are u using ? maybe 1/200 at ISO 800 ? arnt u glad u play camera now instead of 4 years ago when usable ISO1600 is a wet dream ? The max I went for my d80 which I think was acceptable for me was ISO800 never went above it.

I try to maintain ISO200 as best as I can. Normally on my tele I go +2 stop ISO to try get at least 1/125s

haha. you'll be surprised, a lot of people actually shy to pump ISO above 800. let alone above 1600.

and yes about the % part though. like i said earlier, even though i no shy shy pump ISO type, my ISO above 1600 shots are really rare.
*
i think it depends on situation (what your shooting for) and on gear. some gears got limit on whats the max usable ISO is at. hehe out of 9k fotos from my katalog only 400 over iso1000 hmm.gif even then all those were tests files. icon_idea.gif

hehe yea.. last year more high ISO photos than this year, cos last year I was in a very dark cave. All my cave photos were at ISO 1600. Which looks pretty decent hanging in my living room walls now.

thing is you want a camera body which is capable to go HIGH ISO, at least when the situation needs it, u can still shoot it. what more to say the bodies tat came out these few years! 6400 ISO! what a dream! If I had tat when I was in the caves, damn I wouldnt have to get so frustrated

The current hype and trend is Korea instead of Japan.... I'm getting annoyed with the number of K-Pop songs on the radio ><

QUOTE(ruxyn_tang @ Oct 2 2012, 11:48 AM)
very true! ive always wanted to go to japan bt too exp sad.gif bt korea culture nt bad oso lah. tho actually bcz my sisters n mum are KFans xD

I jst came back from Tokyo few months back. 5.5 days inc transport total dmg was under 4.5k ... 5.5 days cos with airAsia u arrive near midnite then u leave also near midnite effectively wasting 2 nite of accommodations. Very enjoyable tho, love the food. and I got my air tix on the high side. My friends got at 1/2 price which effectively brings his total to under 3.7k I think its comparable to korea at tat price so i choose JPY over KOR

Relax guise. That's from a film. He using iso 400 film but pushed it to iso 1600 that's why noise (or grains) count abit high. Then again heard Kodak Portra 400 is very very good in term of grains size when pushed to 1600 or 3200! maybe scan problem kot sweat.gif
Im slowly trying to shoot jpg again, before this was crazy with RAW because easier do to editing for work related but zomg space running out fast! icon_question.gif  laugh.gif

jst saying ma.. hahaha recently all my jobs require in raw mode.. but also got one in jpg mode.. so far they happy with results. i guess is sometimes the results canot meet our own expectations as we know it can be better
