today i met someone who has the 'poor man's trinity', 28mm, 50mm and 85mm 1.8G.
weirdly, the 28mm images somehow looked just a touch softer than the 50mm. plus as ppl already say, the construction is not deserving of a gold ring... |

QUOTE(amduser @ Sep 7 2012, 05:39 PM) it doesn't state any condition there, but i dont know what is press photography though, is like picture of people giving a speech? like mentioned on the maybank site, a series of pics that tell a story.like if u go thru newspaper centerfold story usually got 4-5 related pics etc...or maybe go thru time magazine etc. and yes, u need to be a member of the press to enter the press photo section. |

QUOTE(celciuz @ Sep 12 2012, 06:42 AM) "Rear LCD: Exquisite 3.2," 921,000 pixels" --> not sure if this comes with a green tint... it should have the green tint, cos nikon has said the green tint is correct and older LCDs are wrong "Nikon announced an optional Wi-Fi transmitter for the camera. The WU-XX clips into the USB socket of the D600 and allows you to broadcast its images to smartphones and tablets running a Nikon app. The unit allows the camera's live view output to be streamed to the smart device and allows images to be shot remotely. The WU-XX immediately transfers photos and also allows you to upload them to social networks to share with friends and family" --> I like this one! |

QUOTE(little ice @ Sep 12 2012, 03:07 PM) i left it auto 100-3200,, and despite choosing iso2800 (only that pork and sausage) by the camera, im getting shutter speed of 1/15 and still looks underexposed, bumped the ev quite a bit in post. it was quite dim actually. when will Nikon come out with fast prime? wait for fuji xe-1 instead of omd.Btw after using j1 for some time, I must confess I finally photography-poisoned lol. now craving for something better and eyeing on the om-d now due to the size and performance and the lens choice. still quite a lot of money though... Added on September 12, 2012, 3:10 pm why choose high iso? no choice. and why not? blurred shot or noisy image, I choose noisy image. |

doesnt matter lesser...39 is plenty.
from the specs already it beats D700 in everything, except most probably AF speed which is abit irrelevant if ppl just shoot portraits. |

QUOTE(gerald7 @ Sep 13 2012, 01:11 AM) focus speed is very relevant cos thats one of the key selling points of a nikon dslr... speed and accuracy... if want speed and accuracy then have to look at d3, d4 already...d300, d700 still won't match them.Plus d600 has expeed3 which is suppose to process 30% faster then expeed2 and just may give it the edge over the d700 which is expeed1...have to wait for actual tests and see. Anyway what I'm curious to see is if the d600 got af-on button or not. Added on September 13, 2012, 8:06 amOk screw it, saw some more images...d600 got no af-on button...tho wonder if it can focus with lenses with f8 or smaller like the d800 / d4. QUOTE(KTCY @ Sep 13 2012, 08:37 PM) "Nikon Multi-CAM 4800 autofocus sensor module with TTL phase detection, fine-tuning, 39 focus points (including 9 cross-type sensors; the center 33 points are available at apertures slower than f/5.6 and faster than f/8, while the center 7 points are available at f/8), and AF-assist illuminator (range approx. 0.5 to 3 m/1 ft 8 in. to 9 ft 10 in.)" it should have fine tuning, cos D7000 also got fine tuning.@bold for both ! Who to trust ? interesting tho that it can really work with f/8. now it makes me curious how the AF speed is like also. but then im also curious on the upcoming fuji xe-1...and sony rx-1...money money money where are u? Added on September 14, 2012, 12:58 amknn, screw that again. d600 grip is mdb-14...usd322...which means rm1k...zzz... This post has been edited by Everdying: Sep 14 2012, 12:59 AM |
