fire, wind and water(staff)

fire when im on high grounds, dealing aoe or targeted dmg

wind to kill mesmers illusions with chain lightning, movement speed boon

water for underwater fights, team healing, debuff and tanking

i havent play around with earth yet, but the ranged defensive skill seems useful to me, but ive nvr touched earth in pvp before.

have u tried dagger in close quaters? wanna ask cuz im so use to quick burst dmg with fire ><

naw, nvr had tiem to experiment with other weapons yet, staff not limited to ranged, you can kite players in a sense, but the main thing is keeping focus on objectives, like if u see a theif or ranger, know your limits lol, worst case if i get caught in a fight i cant win, ill just tank and lure them away frm objectives and keep em busy till i die while team capture.

if you are used to daggers you can try, their burst dmg is on par with warrior lol

i just faced one yesterday and it was rape. i recall seeing earth and wind attunement usage

ill prolly try out scepter n focus and DDaggers pvp builds after im done with my PvE stuff, juggling alot things atm lol

yea all the time. But when you're playing, really harder to spot the beauty. Until you sit down look at the screenshots, or slow down take a sit on the vista...

After several times of difficulty in dungeons... I start to think, to have different set of gears and weapons for dungeon run to make sure I survive better. Keep getting 1-shotted is no fun. shakehead.gif After all the main priority of dungeon is token. Get it done fast is priority.

So, dungeon gear: vit, toughness, power, dual-dagger for faster response.
General PvE gear: magic find, power, etc... staff or dual-dagger depend on situation.

If only we can modify trait without the huge cost of book wink.gif

haha kk thanks for your input. will try WvW tonite for the 1st time... haha biggrin.gif

i oni use staff (water attune) when fighting boss. the heal skill helps during battle

earth and wind eh? yeah got alot of condition on the skills. but im not pro yet at changing attunment while in battle. F1 F2 F3 F4 quite far my fingers too short sad.gif lol

eh we can modify trait w/o buying book. can just pay the trainer to reset your SPs. cos like 2s something for 70 points.

You gotta keep switching attunements, don't just stick to one, or you'll be in a big disadvantage.

I think the reason why we can't switch weapons is because we can switch attunements? I don't really know how other classes work laugh.gif

Exactly, because we got attunement that's why we can't have option to switch weapon in battle.
What I having problem now is relatively low damage on staff. I'll try dual dagger later tonight see how it fares in tight situation.

Yeah staff is like...
- ready to cast
- hand swing back
- hand swing front
- boom

slowww.... almost like 1 hit per 1.5 second.

work with the wind attunement mvment speed boons, the reason why that DD ele was so good was she knows when to burst her dmg and close the distance

wind attunement DD 4th skill ride of lightning can directly close in on target on quite a distance, she basically did that and wham! earth attune. it was basically 3-5 hit KO

crazy shit lol

i couldnt even tank that bish
