How many times die not important; the point is do you learn to play this class slowly

Staff air auto-attack is very great for kiting multiple monsters.
In fact, I am OK in kiting monsters even 5 or 6 levels above, including veteran.
Problem is, one slight error on my movement, or too much ranged-monsters, stunts, knockdown, etc... disaster.

Another problem I have is usually in closed corridor/room... I can't see SHIT...!!!

I used the default healing skill, since on air attunement it gives speed (swift) boon.
Then staff air no.4 skill also give swift boon.
Then staff air no.5 skill (the field) + Arcane Wave combo also give swift boon.

With 3 skills above, you can pretty much have swift boon on all the time. Which makes travelling wayyyy faster.
Of course, the air trait also have skill to give you even more swiftness bonus while attuned to air.

I love this armor, but a little sad because Anet make it so widely available

Don't really got a fixed name anymore, you can buy various levels of those from many karma merchant..

This enough to illustrate everything: player skill required very high.
It's not walk-in-the-park playing an elementalist, compared to most other classes that are much more obvious in offence and defence.

Move more. Dodge more. Use skill that slow down your enemy, or speed yourself up.

1v4 is OK as long as they are not range. Against range can be a little problem... There are several "aura shied" skills but they don't really last long.

I think that one is from the original Shadow set (now you can get it widely available on karma vendors). That pic is mix and match, not full set gear.

Just keep doing tailoring craft... The skin set above minimum Lv225.
For my staff, I just bought the karma gear found somewhere in human 35-45 map (the same staff used by a centaur champion boss).

One point people missing is- regardless the long and short of whatever classes, if the player is NOOB (I rarely use this word but today want to use it)- and if the player is NOOB, even a godly class become chicken.

Just enjoy the game the way you want, learn to utilize your weakness too.

At the moment I stuck with not enough gold, so not going to get Lv60 trait book... Sigh. Later I want to go 30 fire 30 air 10 earth. Maybe will change in the future but that should works pretty well for my play style.

Remember, no body get as much AoE as elementalist, use that as your strong point. (There are various AoE in utility slots too).

Well, not everyone born as a pro anyway. Since GW2 totally saperate PvE and PvP that makes me relief a lot, as PvP is never a forced element in the game (I hate quests like "win 3 battle in PvP league"...)

In my own point of view (in everything), there no need to have clear win & lose margin. What important is enjoy what you doing/playing.

It just harder to play compared to several other class that might be much easier to play due to their very-obvious offence and defence, that's it.
Well, I enjoy this difficulty , rather than just spam button blindly all the time.

In term of reward, I got my Lv65 MF set fitted on, not try it yet. Hopefully loot become better with this new set of gears.

Don't forget I play MMO just for one thing: LOOKS GOOD.

Dying? Get hit too much? Use the summon elemental elite skill (earth), that rock elemental is surprisingly tanky!!

Yea I put 10 points into Earth trait, and select auto cast that rock armor on HP down to 50%.

This is what you get when maxed. And <20fps in fight like this...
