Haha, oledi try PVP in ptr. Feel myself too week, direct kill by a WD p96 there. I run but still kena poison until die.. I using hungering arrow and impale with smoke.. But I feel this PVP no really interesting, no meaning. Just enter and kill and die and revive and kill and die.. Just repeat and repeat.. Any objective there or ranking?

seems like bola is hard to use? strafe seems cool

what was 2890 build? i saw some something like exploding.. cluster arrow with other rune?

I think it is still in trial stage.
Heroes are killed in few hits.

I think Blizz needs to fix that.
Reduce all damage taken by heroes so that they don't get kill in few hits.
Prolong the battle would make the game fun, I reckon.

Some lol moments in pvp yesterday. WD obv too hard to kill but I found a tactic.. I use pet to distract his pet then go after him.. still 50/50 to win coz they have 2 LIVES!! imba. But still fun with 2890 and doubleukkay.

keep in mind that blizz always wants AH to keep moving.. so likely they may force something unique to dmg reduction with intent that players will be forced to strike a new balance between ehp and dps

means each char need to have a diff set of pve gear and diff set for pvp gear

Bola is not hard i think. You gotta ask wKkay, i got killed by his bola many times and is annoying. You have to time smoke screen if there is a bola on you. Smoke screen is 1.5s and imminent doom is 2s. So yeah.

Strafe is cool as rocket storm is homing. If you are up against a DH, gotta use strafe or very troublesome.

My build:

HA: DA
Impale: GW (if DH present), impact (if no DH), overpenetration (using this against WD)

Cluster: LfB
Strafe: Rocket storm (if DH present) or Evasive Fire: Covering fire (if no DH)

Smoke Screen: Lingering Fog
Preparation: Backup Plan

Passives: Archery/Perfectionist, Tactical Advantage, Sharpshooter/Steady Aim

DH vs DH, see which DH pop up 1st then 1 hit kill. lul. Btw, I forgot to change to lingering fog rune.. no wonder my SS so fast already I pop up. lul

yeap. Apparently rend goes through smoke screen. That sucks man. I get caught many times by that rend already.

My PVP build

HA: Cinder Arrow
Impale: GW

Vault: Acrobatics/ Companion: Boar
Strafe: Rocket Storm

Prep: Battle Scars
Smoke Screen: Lingering Fog

Passives: Perfectionist/Grenadier, Tactical Advantage, Steady Aim/Sharpshooter

From my experience dueling with other classes.

Vs Barbs
- Probably Impale: impact is better if u can't one shot them
- need to vault to stay out of rend's range since is kinda huge and GOES THROUGH SMOKE SCREEN (yeah that sucks)
- Against barbs with high EHP, strafe makes you vulnerable. So don't use it.

Vs Monks
- For me, this is a all about timing and forcing them to pop serenity. Once they pop serenity and it expires, advantage DH.
- They pop serenity, wait 3s. Chase them down and start firing HA on them. They'll most likely close the distance and try to SSS you. Let them try and u pop SS and watch them SSS nothing. When they done using SSS, impale them.

Vs Wiz
- Strafe: rocket storm is good to deal with the mirror images/bubbles/blizzards even.
- anyone knows how long diamond skin duration is??? cool down???

Vs WD
- Biggest pain in the ass but could be made easier using boar or wolf to distract the pet. (Deckard Cain, 2013)
- If you are accurate with your shots, impale: GW should be oky but if you are not, get impale: overpenetration or cluster arrows: LfB
- Need to really time your cluster/impale unload cuz of their spirit vessel passive.
- try to keep a range to avoid haunt. If u get locked on, i suggest go n kill the WD before haunt kills u. Like that both die. =D

Vs DH
- Boar/wolf is a counter to strafe.
- More EHP gives you a slight edge.
- Impale is slightly better cuz if allows you to make mistake (wKkay, 2013) tho i'm a fan of cluster arrows but need to use grenadier passive.

This korean barb came into my game (with 2 other good DHs), and greeted us with, "Hi bugs."

So I thought, "yeah sure...", and when he TP'ed into the arena I shot an impale at him. 1000 damage, and he healed instantly back to his 200k HP. So I found out that he has something like 2000++ HP regen and 13000 armor, shield, ignore pain, war cry, etc... he was practically an untouchable tank!

The 3 DHs had to team up and stunlock him in order to kill him. He was THAT tough! Despite having only 40K DPS, he managed to escape sometimes, chase us, and kill us with rend laugh.gif
