How does the flash on 920 different from others? OIS works wonderfully with that flash on I guess.

I'm still not convinced by the OIS until I get one and abuse it.

QUOTE(freakenstein @ Sep 6 2012, 01:34 AM) I think the guy on the van is using a rig to hold both s3 and 920 since it is impossible for the bicycle guy to hold onto the rig with cycling. Remember that Nokia did compare both s3 and 920 in their conference with a rig mounted. they're using the RED camera. As reported from TheVerge, the OIS demonstration was meant for commercial purpose and they didn't state the entire video was recorded with Lumia, they will adjust it in the future. They misinterpret the whole thing , shouldn't have filmed the bicycle guy , just film the van. For sure people will think there's a trickery once they saw that it wasn't the bicycle guy who filmed it in the reflection lol. |

QUOTE(freakenstein @ Sep 6 2012, 12:14 PM) Haha cannot say like that sifu aspire. So far i'm quite amazed by its ability to stabilize that good. Only that they made a mistake confusing their consumers with the bicycle video. Other than that , its all good. Nah a good example for video stabilization. fukkin jissed in my pants! Very very good in my opinion. oh wait, it was that focusing light only This post has been edited by s7ran9er: Sep 6 2012, 12:26 PM |

QUOTE(0300078 @ Sep 6 2012, 12:30 PM) focusing light and a good metering mechanism in the camera application to determine the exact exposure and depth for the picture. Nokia camera are around the level of some high end P&S already. You know for a moment I thought the camera shutter was wide open while the rapid flash 'paints' for the sensor inside but turns out this madafukr so badass in lowlight until I decided to name it, the "dark knight of camera phone", my own opinion. |

QUOTE(Andrew Lim @ Sep 6 2012, 02:51 PM) Because... sir, 8 points for you! 1) WP8's complete features are still a mystery. 2) No release date for this phone. So for now is vapourware. 3) Motorola released some interesting Droid phones on the same day. 4) Next week is iPhone 5 announced. And everytime it's announced it's available within 2 weeks. 5) Pureview brand but still only 8MP compared to 808's 41MP. 6) Downgraded the polycarbonate chassis to glossy plastic from matte plastic. 7) Doesn't seem that much better than the Samsung ATIV. 8) They posted fake Pureview trailer to con people. |

From a average joe point of view, this phone would be great and fits on daily usage, just the right phone to get me going through my life. Doesn't care about the optics as long as it take decent photos and won't fail me, doesn't really care for the market shares either, just the right phone. Doesn't care about the specs too, everything just fits right.
So why all the fuss, people? |

Everything is pretty much "cloud" anyway, you can upload a file to a folder and the folder gets to share with 10 or more people, cloud service is the new thing yo.
But bluetooth does come in handy sometimes. |

we all made bad decisions once in a while, I'd really prefer them call it something else instead of inherit the PureView.

QUOTE(marcus20125 @ Sep 11 2012, 07:55 PM) just asking, based on below specification, can it snap good picture? You have to define your own 'good picture', not everyone's definition of 'good picture' has the same scale. If you ask 'can it take decent picture?' yes sure it does, far better than most of the smart phones out there (edit: my OWN opinio) because of the OIS, I'm talking about taking picture under well-lit space, not low light.Camera: PureView with Optical Image Stabilization & Carl Zeiss optics 8.7Mpix, f/2.0, 1/3”, short pulse high power LED flash Front camera 1.2 Mpix f/2.4 Video capture Full HD 1080p @ 30fps This post has been edited by s7ran9er: Sep 11 2012, 10:55 PM |
