Just waana share my 2 cents, no matter is a shih tzu, silky or poodle, basic obedience training is very important so that when they grow up they know how to respect the owner. JRT's are terriers and a little bit smarter than the other breeds, so most of the time they will challenge the owner and many give up because they feel that they are not up to the demanding lifestyle of the JRT's. I have 1 furry fella at home which
demands a lot of attention from us, so no matter we are half dead after work, a walk in front our house playground and some basic obedience training is a must. The best thing is to be able to communicate with ur dog, we talk to our JRT all the time, dont even mind if our neighbours thought v r crazy.

i agree...sometimes, my relatives thought that i crazy treating my furkids as human...but they just part of the family..now my mom and my dad is doing the same thing too...lol

haih...today my JRT pup poop in my granpa's room and my grandpa stepped on it....my dad had to clean up the mess....too bad couldn't catch her in the act if not scold her 99...and she dug a hole in my garden....round 1 i scolded her n whack her ...round 2 my mom scolded her and push her head towards the hole and grounded her ( for like 30 mins) hehe...
1 question..how much it costs for vaccination?
beating or harsh punishment might not be the best way to teach your furkids. Your JRT might be too boring, too much energy or craving for attention. i take my both furkids for an eveing jog everyday and talk to them like they are talking to me all the time. that might work...
