i heard that JRT are very hyper kinda breed right? need alot of attention and running space? my sis say she wanna have one......

yes. They are hyperactive. as long as you can spend like 1-2 hours daily to play with them then it's ok. if not, they'll either bug you to play with them by picking up toys and put on your lap no matter how many times you throw it away OR they'll destroy things in your house to get your attention.

best is to play with them b4 you leave them or b4 sleep. Mental stimulation is the keyword here

Space wise...as long as you have a porch and grassy area, it'll suffice.

Yeah, popular but don't get fooled in thinking every JRT you see is like what you saw in those movies and sitcoms. They need firm training.

Besides, they're one of heck of an intelligent dog.

But i thought all terrier dogs are ban from malaysia?or was it pit bull?

she's lazy ar? that time she's on heat..like human, period. so no energy.

i go out jalan2 every morning and nite with her. use up some energy mah,..if not middle of the nite sure kacau me wan....

they'll find ways to use up their energies, JRT.

err...forgot to tell you that JRT likes to dig. They are bred to go underground to flush out foxes. if you mom is ok with having the JRT dig around your lawn

furthermore, do you guys reared any dogs b4? for those who's taking JRT as their first dog, it's not recommended for them to take this kinda breed. most ppl in the states usually will give them up for adoption because they never expect JRT to be out of their imagination. I, myself, have been rearing dogs since 3 years old and only dared to own a JRT 1 year plus ago. I still have another 5 more mixed breed dogs in my hometown.

Take this interactive profiler and see whether your sister or even your family is up to the requirements to own a jrt. Here I'm not trying to put you guys off but it's better off to check whether you're up to the tenacity of a JRT or not.

we only had one dog last time.....erm....at least 15 years ago loh.....those short hair dog dunno what breed.....but we have to give her away coz moved to apartment cannot rear dogs....

i think my mom will mind about that digging part....dogs cannot live with flowers and flower pots.....they are enemies.....
