This is my late Marcusboy. he is not a pure breed but he carries JRT gene. can i share his story here? Look at all ur lovely dogs reminds me of my lovely Marcusboy. *tears dropping...*




Marcus was abandoned together with his 5 siblings in a paper box located at cheras perdana 7 years ago. all of them were still wet n all their eyes r not opened yet. i was standing there for a long time n can't decide wat to do. i know i can only bring back 1 but how bout the others? but then i hav no choice, i just pick n bring back my Marcusboy. Brought it to vet for a checkup, the vet said he is only 2 days old n he is a mix of jrt n other terrier. Bought sum milk powder from the vet n there start my days being a dog MaMa use cotton to wipe its eyes n anal(this r wat the vet teached me), never had a good sleep continuously for more than 1 month just to wake up every 3-4 hours to feed milk n jaga him, look at his "swimming" post(still cannot stand n walk well, so he swim on the floor. Haha), until 1 day eyes open dy(eh, the eyes was blue color when he was a baby), cry everynite if he saw me sleeping when he awake from dream...

Then finally my boy is growing up healthy n he is so loving. he like to kiss me everyday n he can jump so high from gound to kiss my nose, he will sit still in front of me when i was talking to him n he will bark once if i say "call me", he woke me up every morning when it's time for me to go to work, he will bark at us when my parents car came back like calling us to open gate for the car, he will bite n destroy the softtoy if he saw me hugging other softtoys, he like to challenge other big dog when we go for walk at my neighbourhood area, he will cry when lightning n sure come grab me very tight, he like to play soccer with my brother n he know how to goal, he is a very smart boy as he know where to do his business without teaching, he dun like shower n will hide under the sofa/table when he see me preparing his shower stuff, he is also a silly boy who will bark to himself in a mirror... n there are still many more to be mentioned....

But still, we cant expect wat was happened n he ended in an accident. this happened bout a year ago, i was outstation for weeks n he was too excited when he see me come back, he just run across the road n got bang by a car. of coz we immediately rush to the vet but the vet told us it's very hard for him to survive as the injury was too serious. we hav then decided to put him to sleep to shorthen his sufferness. it was really a very hard time for me but we all know this is the best way for him to release. he looked at me with his lovely eyes n he called me for the very last time. we hav then buried him at our garden n that area is full of beautiful flowers now.

Sorry for such a long post, i just can't stop myself thinking of him. he was such a lifely partner to me n i never afford to lost him. i still miss him everyday even it had been more than a year since the incident.

zeus was hit by a car before when he was abt 6mths old...
it was midnite & i opened the gates to dump the rubbish, zeus follwed me downstairs but stayed inside the hse compound.
then my f*ckin opposite neighbour also went out to dump rubbish, then he saw zeus & whistled to him, zeus dashed out opposite & then came a car....
my heart crushed as i heard a fowl cry from beneath the car, as the car passed zeus dashed inside the hse & hid under the stairwell. when i checked him, he was knocked (luckily not ran over by the car) suffered some external inflamation & bruises.
i covered him with blanket & i sped like a madman to the vet...
got him a jab, some meds & everythin la...

the next day i f*ck thy neighbour up, now lookin at him is pissin me off...
& i literally f*ck any fast driver who pass my hse... & some neighbour with kids actually yelled at fast drivers as well nowadays

Marcus looks like a Parson Jack, nice long legs.

Yup, sad to say that JRTs tend to get into a lot of accidents n many do get knocked down by moving vehicles on the road. My JRT had 2 close calls when he was a pup, but he is more reliable nowadays.

These are valuable lessons to be learnt for all new JRT owners out there:

1. JRTs love to run and chase after moving objects (cat, squirrel, ball) and their motto is 'leap before you look', hence JRTs will not stop for any moving vehicle as they dash across the road.
2. Never let your JRTs roam off leash especially near roads or places with moving vehicles.
3. JRTs should only be allowed offleash only if you have a reliable recall and the environment is safe ie. fenced field or places with no traffic.

It is a real delight to watch a JRT run free but owners have to find a safe environment for them to do so.

although i still feel sad whenever i think of him but i will try my best to live happily as i know this is wat my marcusboy wan me to do also. i'm happy tat he hav gone to a more peaceful place with 100% freedom. no more cage, no more leash, no more NO~

zeus will turn 3 yrs old mid of may...actually he was abt 6mths old when he was knocked by the car...
he's hyper as usual abt 2 weeks after the incident

Now having 3 Jacks with me is But then it's fun to see Dookie is being himself when there's another active jack playing with him all the time since Piper mellowed down a lot.
