not really, the price increases as the resolution and extra features increases

23-24" usually 1080p resolution with some exception of cheap 27" which are 1080p as well

most 27" onwards are 1440-1600p. only 32" are 4K resolution which is overpriced (USD5.4k for a Dell 4K anyone? laugh.gif)

since youre going for movie playing, just grab any Full HD TV within your budget nod.gif 40" TV is sort of mainstream now

both Asus PQ321Q & Dell UP3214Q 4K monitor are using same Sharp IGZO panel, but Dell are much more expensive than Asus, (~RM17k vs. ~RM11.5k). haven't see any details comparison reviews among these 2, maybe the extra charge add on for Dell is warranty cost?

but I just have some humble space for a pc so a tv is not an option =(

feel weird to use my everyday pc on a tv lol..still prefer "PC monitor" genre, except movie I also need pc for surfing internet etc..some light software and music..download thingy

guess not big difference now huh for the monitor around 23''? I walk around lowyat..saw like RM300 only for a 23'' but 24;; need add more RM100..

btw PSU have no relationship with monitor yes? my psu is just some cheapo..have read a lot info regarding pc lol..

nope, most monitors have their own PSU anyway. they are not linked to the rig part

USD3K plus is very peanuts 4 dear stringfellow because he was the only one in the whole country 2 play 4K buying directly in amazon rclxms.gif rclxms.gif

Yeah, I actually fell in love with the 27 inch size itself, Dell does offer 27 inch with 2560x1440 pixel but it is expensive. those 1920x1080 one just turn me off thank to low DPI, eventually I settle the 24 inch because of 16:10(16:10>16:9 notworthy.gif ) aspect ratio.

i am still using my grandpa aged 16:10 lcd since 2008 and counting laugh.gif rclxms.gif

Hi all,

I'm going to build a rig, and I was hoping to use my LCD TV to be used as my monitor.

Question, can I set the resolution below than 4K?

ps: I think my TV is 30+ inch.
