I got DOA4, but the thing is, last experience i have with DOA4 is that, the lag is noticable. Jerky and you're unable to play other players other than those who are close enough to you. Otherwise matches like slideshow only.....

I even had trouble finding matches hosted by the local players. Tecmo should fix their online system, provide patch or something for these glitches.

they say that a patch should be coming soon but its to fix the save game issue.. but i never experienced the save game issue, only the lagness of the online play..

hmmm...~ wierd cause i heard someone at the gamespot forum said" my DOA4 online running 0 ping" i was shocked.....and for those ppl who have save game problem with 2 profile it will happen so just stick with one profile or turn-off the auto sign in.

actually.. BOTH can press the tag button, if you think you gonna die just keep pressing it.. if you think your friend having too much fun beating ppl up press it.. if you think your friend not paying enough attention at the side.. PRESS IT!!!

Good games last night, although it got laggier the more people coming in.

Lag is usually because the host is not strong enough to support everyone. Blame it on Streamyx. Most of us should have no problem playing 1v1 as we are in the same country and pretty close to each other

so thats how it works....

Also try not to be downloading or uploading anything when playing because it has been proven that it does cause your connection to lag. I've tested it myself. So to get the least lag:

1) Reset your router/modem just before you want to play Xbox Live. Xbox Live Compatible routers are even better. Like mine
2) Don't download or upload anything while playing, in fact try not to use it at all
3) If you are using ICS, try not to have things running in the background. Try to avoid using ICS at all times

Being made by MS has nothing to do with it. Those games just handle lag differently until you don't quite see the effect.

Driving games like PGR3 can use prediction to place your opponents cars even though instructions not received from the players due to lag, that's why you something see cars sometimes slam into a wall for no good reason then blink and get repositioned in the track.

In FPS games, there's some degree of movement prediction. But in intesnse lag you'll see ppl warping around, and you'll be constantly walking... warping back to the original point.. walking.. or what we call rubber banding.

Fighting games on the other hand.. CANNOT have prediction code since everything that happens determines the outcome. In games like this players must always be kept in sync, hence the matrix mode. When it pauses it means communications between players have broken, then when it reconnects it resumes. Oh.. Street Fighter also most likely is going to suffer from this too so let's hope StreamyX is working well then.

BTW, is it even humanely possible to get Gold on Time Attack on default settings? Once in a blue moon I managed to do just over 4 minutes with Hitomi, but that was it.....most other times I averaged around 6-8 minutes. My worst record was 22 minutes

Worst was when I was using Kokoro. I was actually doing good at around 3 minutes when I reached Stage 7....then Lei Fang killed me. Lei Fang simply went God mode, countering 90% of my attacks.....how do you beat something like that?

just set the round 2 to 1 then beat the hell out of them with your luck

Can set the number of rounds to 1 ah? Beating Alpha-152 twice in a row is impossible

Hitomi is a nice character, and quite easy to learn. Combos are quite straightforward.

hahahahh....I thought I saw some people playing DOA4 after PGR3 last night. Too ganas.....I was tired already after playing Halo2 before PGR3. Cerebral murdered me too many times, so I went off to join the PGR3 group.

50% master hayate is quite scary already.....I think he's definitely the best character in DOA4, next to hayabusa.....

Aiya, since I can't spin Zaakath's tail in PGR3..no fun already. He's getting too good la and my driving skills seems to be going downhill.

cheh, knowing 50% of his moves doesn't make him a killer. DreamyGhost is complaining how cheap Hayabusa is..

Let's get some rounds in tonite, itching to try out some Kokoro moves.
