for app development yet.. thought the i7 would be an overkill.. even myself never had a RM900+ processor before, still a few generations behind with an x4 9550.
ok cincai.
ya.. no gaming.. not even watching movies.

if can cut down on the proc, then can save about 400. the budget dont have to maximize it lol..

I suggest take the Xeon one better , same quad core with HT , i5 no HT

not really but got friend to help and CyntrixTech overclock ready

no point getting if u urself don't know how to overclock, such a waste of money, for overclocking u need to pay more for

1. k series cpu
2. z77 series mobo
3. aftermarket cpu cooler

what for u wanna pay more for those things when games are gpu hunger, not cpu hunger? if u pay more for those cpu overclocking stuff, u can't get a good gpu in ur budget

if pure gaming u only need

intel core i5 3450 rm564
msi b75ma-p45 rm224
kingston value 4gb x2 rm124
leadtek gtx 670 rm1149 (c-zone)
wd blue 1tb rm249
liteon dvd-rw rm59
fsp hexa 500w rm149
aerocool strike x one advance rm139
viewsonic vx2250vm rm350 (jayacom)

total rm3007 (prices from viewnet unless stated) also note those prices are before discount

I totally agree with this. If and only if the sole purpose of the desired rig for for gaming, you dont really need to go all out on it. Can do more personal tweaking to the parts stated by zerohunter. Other than that, the rig is good to go.

Ofcourse, he can opt for the IPS monitor is so desired.

bro he said that he already have

wd blue 1tb
600t
tx850

at first budget 3k++, the ++ can up to 1k but prefer not to rclxub.gif

he also said dunno oc but wanna learn, also wanna make water cool, also planning to sell the 600t for full tower rclxub.gif

i guess he himself has many doubts and dunno what he really NEEDS, but he's very sure what he WANTS whistling.gif

that why i asking should i or should i not because it good to have everything for future .if that the case i going for extrem 4(black pcb and gold ) to cut cost and to match my tx850w (orange lable and black )
i do not want to have a m-atx mobo looks really small .and why i am change casing becasue 600t bad air flow and not water cooling friendly (bad for future)

QUOTE(gruntz99 @ Sep 10 2012, 04:30 PM)
I am planning to build a PC rig from the scratch and the desktop computer I would use as mid end gaming machine. But as for the budget, I still could not determined it as I planned on buying part per part because I don't have enough money to buy all the parts.

Maybe I will buy for example processor first (Intel core i5 3570 popped to mind), then motherboard and RAM, and graphic card would be last to buy. The period of this to be completed maybe around 5-6 months.

Actually I buy part per part by monthly for one or two part. Owh, the overall budget I hoped not exceeded RM3,500. And the games I played ranged from Bioshock, Dragon Age, Modern Warefare, HON, with  sedap mata memandang setting.

ANY SUGGESTION for me? icon_rolleyes.gif
*
the best is u keep your money and buy one shot. the road of upgrading is endless

zeronehza, what do you mean by endless? Isn't it more cheaper build your own PC than buy one shot?tq
*
i mean better u buy all the parts at one shot (DIY PC) , not asking u buy pre-build pc like dell/hp/lenovo/acer

Owh you mean, just save money and after enough budget, I buy all of the part? This is where I fail. Maybe look stupid but I prefer to do what as I planned.
*
so u prefer to buy cpu, mobo, ram, hdd, psu, case as part 1 example rm1500; 6 months later buy gpu as part 2 example rm1500 while by the time u buy part 2, part 1 cost reduced to rm1300 only and yet during the past 6 month u can't enjoy gaming and wasted rm200. if that is the case, how much money u have now?

The period actually just an estimate but maybe i could completed it sooner than what I mentioned (3 months maybe). And as you ask, sooner I got enough money to bought processor and motherboard (around 800).
*
so u plan to buy the cpu and mobo as part 1, let them laying around collect dust, sitting in the box doing nothing? then what's next? i'm really interested in ur plan
