Hello i need a recommendation for a budget rig.
Budget would be around 1.5k-1.8k but maybe can stretch to 2k.

Mostly for playing games and multi-tasking.
Games i play would be just dota,dota2,counter strike global offensive,diablo3.

I might reuse my old hdd which is a Wd caviar green 500gb sata/32mb cache.
I am not really sure if i could reuse it.so i need some opinions.
I also have a monitor which supports reso of 1920 by 1080  21.5 inch asus .
These are the only things i might reuse..

Also i would like if the OS is included in the quote pls.
I might purchase a new rig next month..
Thanks to all for help.

guys help him lo tongue.gif

for those games dont need high price gpus.monitor oso 21.5" only so gtx 460 will do i think?lucky ur asking for normal build so got many choices dont worry.with 2k you will manage.

Not really, as long mobo got PCI-E 2.0 or 3.0 it should be fine

But bear in mind, since youre using old proc, there will be bottlenecking issues as ur proc will not be able to keep up with the GC's speed

Thanks dude, but as i said before, my budget really strict to only 1800 and i apreciate it if i could get below 1.8k and i building my system from scratch (i never own a pc before only laptops) so so i need mouse and keyboard include in my baudget. That's why i getting the cheap AMD x2 550 proc (and already bought it along with viewsonic monitor).

Btw, could i get the HD 7850 for my system? Actuallly i prefer the the cheaper Vapor 7770 for my gpu.

Hi guys, pls enlighten me wif a custom HTPC rig..

[Budget] RM2.5k +-

[Purpose] HTPC (ALOT FULL HD MOVIES, SURFING, VERY LIGHT GAMING)

[Hardware that will be reuse from old rig] NONE

[Monitor resolution] CONNECT TO MY 46" HDTV via HDMI

[Game or software that use frequently] Just video/audio players and browsers.

[Personal Preference Brand] NONE

Do i need GPU or sound card to support/enhance the movie experiences? Will CPU affect the smoothness of my videos? TQ
