Ok I looked through most of the recommendation and my boss liked it too... i think we can cut cost from the display as we already have a samsung 24" biggrin.gif
so that dropped mostly to a price range of 6-7k smile.gif our only worry is the power supply... well he is worried the power supply wouldn't be sufficient for so high powered computer... I'm looking into the spec will update y'all by tonight what spec i'm considering biggrin.gif thanks for the recommendation.

-Seagate SV35 2TB hard disk - RM369
Casing ... not sure yet probably :
-Cooler Master CM 690 II Advanced NVIDIA Edition Casing - RM305 or
-Corsair Carbide 500R case RM369
(Don't need to spend too much for the casing but need to be able to put all the stuff inside tongue.gif)

-Liteon DVD writer - RM59

if u taking the asrock h77 then yes, tj08-e can't fit in, if giga then yes can fit. if u wanna choose tj08-e, iinm only cex in garage sales has stock for it. i highly recommend u to buy from garage sales sellers such as idealtech, lingloong, cyntrix or cex, don't buy in mudah.

i thought u already settled down with the company rig in previous replies?
*
the company one i want to make sure about the compatibility/issue it have with each of the parts? That is a big budget and i don't want to mess it up. Can u take a look at it again?

I think I'm gonna go for giga ... seen some benchmark and it is a little better. just slightly but IT is better tongue.gif
I think I am gonna buy from garage sales.

Hi I'm looking for 8k price for a rendering workstation. now I've gt a quote last time but this time I need one for a dual processor n a motherboard that can support it.
I heard that 2 processor would be better for rendering speed?
no need for monitor already have. No water cooling too ...I don't think we gt time for maintaining it...
on 2nd thought does Intel have any chip with more than 6core? maybe n 8 core?

No need for monitor or mouse/keyboard. The church computer isnt gonna online...so driver support from amd wouldnt be any problem :-)

I'm using a splitter and yea i think it's using vga? Both is old projector. We're going through an upgrade. RM1.5k - RM1.7k. Also got audio but we already have a sound system.
Need something that can play video, audio, mostly entertainment, powerpoint without any hiccups.
I'm gonna be doing some light video editing and audio editing as well.
I heard that AMD is cheaper and better in both performance and price? Not sure about it though.

QUOTE(Cable707 @ Nov 4 2012, 10:07 PM)
Take intel then :

Intel Core i3 3225 3.3GHz RM479
MSI H77MA-G43 mainboard RM289
Corsair 1333MHz ram 4GB RM55
Gigabyte Powerock 420W PSU RM99
CM Elite 343 Black Edition case RM109
Lite-On 22x DVDRW RM59
WD Caviar Blue 1TB HDD RM218

Total - RM1308.00

The rest of budget can go for either a decent GPU or monitor..
*
It seems like the i3 come with a hd 4000? heard that it is a decent entry-level graphic card. With my budget i could probably only put another 400 into gpu? (would it be worth it?)
BTW will be doing some audio recording as well and live performance would a sound card be needed?

Oh and I got quoted this for my RM10k Rig.
Intel Core i7-3930 - RM 1819
Corsair H100 Hydro Cooler - RM499
Asus Rampage IV Gene X79 Motherboard - RM 1129
NVIDIA Quadro 2000D 1GB - RM 2799
16GB RAM - RM 398
2TB WD Black - RM 559
120gb SSD - RM 459
DVD Writer - RM 69
750W PSU CoolerMaster (RM 429)
CM Elite 335 Chassis - RM 135

Total = RM 8295
Is it alright?

can consider

asus p9x79 le rm888 for more ram slot
msi gtx 690 rm3499 for cheaper yet the same thing
wd av series hdd, 3 years warranty compare to blue/green 2 years, just a slight more expensive
ocz vertex 4 ssd with build in ram, price not that different from intel
other mid tower casing such as corsair 300r/400r/500r/c70
*
Erm... the 10k build is for rendering purpose only and sometimes need to be open 24/7 and running full speed the whole day or week. So the build must withstand long hours of renderings biggrin.gif thus the hydro cooler, wd black and 1600mhz ram. but still... this is a local build my boss would prefer buying from, so they probably marked up the price or it's expensive due to postage. GTX vs Quadro (both with cuda) which one is better then for rendering?

we need 2 monitor output ... one to the monitor in the station another goes to a splitter which goes to 2 projector ... one in the back another in front. so total 1+1output -> 1+2 monitor.
