QUOTE(led_zep_freak @ Aug 28 2012, 01:38 PM) Oh dear... OT but I went through your blog and found the said post. It's quite depressing and I can only imagine how helpless it feels. Perhaps you should include a large, bold disclaimer in the beginning of the post to suggest help for those who come with the motive to commit suicide. I tried everything. Communicating with them via email, persuading them, encouraging them and at the end, I assumed many are gone since I receive no reply after their first few emails. Many Americans though. There's just nothing I can do. They have set their motive to die firmly. If only they can enjoy football like we do, perhaps they wont be so depressed. I think football and LFC really brought me lots of joy and relieved alot of stress off me.

QUOTE(8sg9ft @ Aug 28 2012, 03:16 PM) They need to balance the books after spending so much during the summer u know haha What u guys think about Borini so far btw? It's a crazy price tag. It's like paying RM25,000 for a pair of Reebok shoes. Ridiculous. I would rather want Liverpool to look for someone else. I think Borini still need to improve the understanding with his team mates. A lot of time, his positioning and passing is still very much suspected. On a personal level, I think he can be a really good player under BR.

The Sturridge news is gaining momentum as Liverpool consider selling Downing and Adam to fund the transfer.
Hopefully, it is fallacy. I hate it when Liverpool do last minute panic buy as what happened with Andy Caroll.

Liverpool accept £3m Bolton bid for Spearing The kid is heading out. Sad. I was hoping he would turn out good after all the praises by Steve Heighway. http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2896/premie...08/28/3336227/-?

QUOTE(Cloud0890 @ Aug 28 2012, 06:26 PM) Isn't Victor Moses sort of like a winger/forward much like Sturridge? Added on August 28, 2012, 6:40 pmWouldn't say I'm disappointed. The kid has the heart and but sadly not the ability/potential. The fact that he is a local kid might let some fans down hoping that he would be the long awaited local kid to break into our first 11 since Carra and Stevie. However the truth is he simply isn't good enough for a top 4 team assuming that is our target as evident with some of his sub-par performances last season in the absence of Lucas. Would he even be on the bench of City, Arsenal, Utd, Chelsea, Spurs? I honestly don't think so especially when we have brought in Allen and Sahin with Shelvey putting in some impressive displays. Let's not forget he is already 23, an age where most players are looking for regular first team football. Surely it will benefit him most if he is able to play regularly elsewhere much like Danny Guthrie. Good points. Completely agree. It's just sad to see a local lad goes even though he look like the weirdo in "Lord of the Rings", ugly and short. LOL. Next will be Charlie Adam. Then the money will be spent on a striker, hopefully. Added on August 28, 2012, 6:57 pmQUOTE(digilife @ Aug 28 2012, 06:40 PM) Good riddance, i am not a fan of Spearing. But goal.com, i am not impressed at all. Many sources are reporting it now. QUOTE(madmoz @ Aug 29 2012, 09:26 AM) let's just sell everyone from pre-BR times and buy Swansea plus whoever else BR wants. . . . . . . Some fans get over eager to ditch players too fast imho, and champion a system that had Swansea finish BELOW us last season. Oh well. Luckily you are not in charge of Liverpool or else I will have to raise a rebellion/demonstration against you. It would have been exhausting. LOL

QUOTE(led_zep_freak @ Aug 29 2012, 10:46 AM) The lack of goals is due to lack of quality in the squad and not the system. Early days, but Laudrup looks to have done well in the transfer market to improve Swansea's goalscoring ability. You're right about not getting carried away, but it's not a wholesale change to the team is it? I reckon Brendan's philosophy is not far from what KK was trying to get us to play last season, no? Agree. We're not far from what we are trying to do last season, only this time, we intend to keep more possession. Had the 30 ill fated woodwork struck chances converted into goals, King would have remained. The main thing BR has to improve in this team is the morale and believe. Last season, after a setback, the team hung their heads down and allow the opposition to roam the defense. I rarely see a fightback spirit like the one we saw in Instanbul and FA Cup Final these days.

QUOTE(PPZ @ Aug 29 2012, 11:07 AM) one more point. BR is way more straight forward and strict when he talk to his player. More like bill shankly. Uh? You mean the King was too polite and soft? "Errr....lads, please kindly listen to me." "Excuse me, Stevie, do you have a minute?" And BR was like "You said one more time "Steady", you'll be on the next plane home" LOL

QUOTE(farisq @ Aug 29 2012, 01:57 PM) Walcott has declared that he's a Liverpool fan prior to joining Arsenal. Will that help in any ways for him/Arsenal to smoothen the transfer process... Man City is also in the race. I dont think we can match the weekly wages demand. The boy's gonna ask for $100,000 per week and the transfer fee is going to cost at least $15 million and possibly plus appearances fee. Dont think we have the money unless Spearing, Adam and Downing are sold.
