Not surprising when we are giving the ball away that much...

The need for a true goalscorer couldn't be more apparent.

BR should try starting Assaidi against Hearts or maybe even Arsenal,he looks promising. At least he looks eager to start.

Our players seem to lack spirit to play, not sure why. We look like chelsea when the players wanted AVB to go, half-hearted.
*
Must it be said again? Assaidi is cup-tied for Europa qualifiers.

No need to symphatise them, they have got the most stupid manager in the world to sell RVP to the scums. To Juventus or elsewhere I can understand but to one of your nearest competitor he's drunk and is simply asking to loose his job. The Arse fans are raging now. Still talk big..... that if he wanna Sahin he could have signed him, what a load of bull, that whiner is simply wasting everybody's time and this will come back to bite him big time.
*
Wenger didn't have a choice so stop hating. Both Juventus and City didn't want to meet the asking price whilst RVP has his heart set on remaining in England so United was his best choice. Wenger can't force him to Italy if he doesn't want to be there.

QUOTE(PPZ @ Aug 26 2012, 12:17 AM)
we still can buy sahin if he is good at the end of the season. there is no clause that we cannot buy him right?
*
The clause only forces Madrid to accept the bid at the end of the loan period so yes we can still sign him but I doubt he and Madrid wants to. Madrid wants him to be a future replacement for Alonso and Sahin still has hope of breaking into Mourinho's first 11. Also the reason he wanted Arsenal in the first place is because of CL football and judging on our last 2 matches its highly unlikely for us to make top 4 this season. If he does well with us this season surely his value will go up significantly along with other clubs' interest in him.

The club has the final say where the player should go as in Sahin's case and ther're plenty of suitors out there not only manure.
*
Plenty of suitors but only United and City in England. Doesn't really matter anyway because if he has his heart set on United, its sell now or lose him for nothing 1 year later. He will still end up at United anyway, only 1 year later.

Hazard's pace and trickery on the ball is too much for most defenders.

what about joe cole, bro? is he still in anfield or will be loan back?
*
He came on as a sub in the WBA match and got himself injured again within minutes. rclxms.gif

He is now linked with a 4m move to QPR, sure hope so. 4m for a 30 year old and 90k wiped off the wage bill, nice!

2-1 or 1- 0 win for tonight...
...okay a draw is good enough as of now. Can Sahin be one of the subs tonight?
*
Don't think so. I remember reading somewhere saying Sahin won't be registered into the squad in time for our City match.

Is BR trying to hit City on the counter by choosing Sterling over Downing. Sterling clearly has more pace and seem more willing to take on defenders, fearless little winger at the moment really. It also helps that he is somewhat of an unknown player to these City defenders so he is more capable of springing surprises.

Hazard is on his own class loo...messi/ronaldo type...cant compare....
*
But to think that we could have gotten a Hazard instead of Carroll, Oscar instead of Henderson, Kagawa instead of Downing. Its not like these are small name players that requires intensive scouting like Ba, Tiote, Cisse etc. Those are pretty big names in their respective leagues and to think that we could have gotten them, yes they might not be interested in coming to us because we can't offer CL football BUT if we had spent that Torres, Alonso, Mascherano cash wisely we could have gotten a bunch of big names the way City and Chelsea did and I have no doubt it would have propelled us back to top 4 in no time.

The way the funds got wasted made it seem as if the works of Rafa turned to waste. Instead of building on Rafa's success we took so many steps backwards its comparable or maybe even worse than Houllier's squad?

every liverpool player is doing high pressing....thus needs high energy level ala Rafa style
*
That was what I liked about Rafa but BR's style incorporates high tempo slick passing in offence as opposed to Rafa's more rigid offense that often requires magical moments from Torres Gerrard or a great pass from Xabi.

The challenge now is if we still have gas in the tank to continue that high tempo pressing. With the weapons at City's disposal, no doubt they will be coming out of half time with guns blazing.
