I have to say that the person who looks most lost today is Steven Gerrard. He's been taking too long to make decisions and is slowing us down. Oh mon capitan. Get back in the game.

He has been poor since the start of season. sad.gif sad.gif sad.gif
Keep it simple Captain, not every 3 passes have to end with a chance.

Honestly, I would like to see Henderson given a crack at his position.

From what i notice, Allen + Sahin ball control, technicality and distribution far better than Gerrard. Perhaps shift Gerrard into more defensive and put Allen + Sahin more upfront?

Suarez looking totally off today. Borini kept shying away from 50/50, he needs to go full in if he wants to win the ball. And we're seem like carrying Gerrard, his age is quite exposed here - easily outpaced, out moved by Arsenal.

Other than that, we're looking decent but the 3 attacking players need to step up! Sterling has been immense so far.

Sahin has been quiet throughout the match, but I guess he is trying to adapt into the new system.

Gerrard sticking out like a sore thumb in Rodgers' system. Not adapting.
At the rate he's going, Shelvey and Henderson would fit in much better in the system.

It's why I've been saying that Gerrard should sit further back. He isn't the sort of player to play quick short passes, the way the rest of the team is playing. He wants the ball all the time and needs runners so he can make incisive passes. By being so far up the pitch, he's also being pressed into mistakes. I think Joe Allen looks better going forward that Stevie. If he continues to struggle and the score stays the same, he'll surely be subbed around the 60-65 minute mark. His only saving grace is that Borini is struggling as well and may be sacrificed before him.

I think its HIGH TIME Brendan Rodgers bench S.Gerrard as he is totally off form of late and he is making alot of mistakes.

giving the ball away & not chasing back after his mistakes....

he maybe our Captain Fantastic but sometimes superstars still need benching and correct them...lolx

The CMs are doing their part. Good touches and they hold the ball well, so much so they even pushed forward to lend help to the ineffective attacking 4. Well minus Sterling ofcourse, he's carrying our attacking forwards lol.
