that depends on individual expenditure.....if i use for my medical insurance .....i ll get 3% off as mine is only RM3k...if no cap i can get RM90 cash back vs my ocbc RM30 only...
if they have cap RM50 per month like most card do i can get rm50 dy...

Bro, it is tiered base up to 3% cash back, it does not mean you will get RM90 for RM3K spending. What you will get i return is approximately RM50 for RM3K spending. Which is still better than OCBC RM30. Click below link to see the tiers:

If you are looking for cash back cards for up to RM3K spending/month, click here to my article The Best Cash Back Credit Card Combo and see in particular the last table, Alliance You:nique pretty good for up to RM3K/month.

Just checked the Alliance Redemption Points and think they have revised it downwards.

As comparison - Alliance, u need 43,900 Reward Points to exchange for RM100 Md Donald's Cash Voucher or equal to 0.227% Cash Back. That's so low.

AEON Credit is only requires 14,700 Points to change to RM50 Cash Voucher from Mc Donalds or equal to 0.340% Cash Back.

I remember when I applied for the Card and I checked the Cash Vouchers, the exchange ratio was closer to 0.3+%

Anyone here remember what was the cash value of Alliance reward points equal to.  Perhaps sifu Gen-X can remember.

I am quite sure it was higher than 0.23%.  Perhaps time to use another Card again and revisitt Gen-X Blog again.

Bro, Alliance Bank inflated the point required to redeem for vouchers sometime back in May - click here to my Facebook posting.

For previous comparison of points back in October 2013, click here to my article Visa Infinite - UOB versus Maybank versus Alliance Bank

Nowadays I hardy use my Alliance Visa Infinite because it will be stupid of me to use it. My Maybank VI rewards me about 100% more compared to my Alliance VI! Luckily my Alliance VI is Free For Life.

I just got my statement today for my Alliance Visa Infinite applied via Priority Banking, RM50 GST billed but no annual fee rclxm9.gif I hardly use the card, I think over the past 1 year, less than RM1K.

And I have pointed out in my Credit Card Ultimate Showdown 2015 where Alliance VIs are in my Best Top 10 Credit Cards in Malaysia, that ever since Alliance inflated their Timeless Bonus Points Redemption Program, it is not worth while to use it for local transactions. Go check out, the FREE FORE LIFE AmBank VI may even earn you more in returns even thought it gives you 1X REward Points for local spending.

The Alliance Visa Infinite I (the Ultimate Airport Credit Card) is really good for FREE entries to airport lounges worldwide and maybe for overseas spending to earn Enrich Miles.

i have 554,000 points which was devalued 100% from last year vmad.gif
I usually fly out thru Changi so enrich miles not very useful.
However , may consider redeeming enrich miles so as not to loose so much value.

Never redeemed MAS flights before N not sure how it works.

How long does it normally take for the miles to be reflected in enrich account?
If I redeem the miles after checking seat availability,What is the possibility of non availability of seat for redemption by the time the miles are credited?

What! you keeping 500K+ points for what?

If you convert to EM got 3 years.

No idea how long it takes for Alliance to credit the EM, but for Maybank 3 working days usually and UOB can take 1 month and nothing and have to call them again and they credit it the next day (happened twice for me)!

I just called Alliance and we only need the 10K points to redeem RM50 GST. I still have points left over from my Alliance Plat used long ago before there was the Maybankard 2 Cards.

Looking for a new credit card (with cash back) and found .....[attachmentid=4284480]
.. how does cash back calculation work after RM3001 ... RM3001X0.3%=RM9 only?   So cannot spend more than 3K/month to enjoy 3% cashback ... very confusing  rclxub.gif
*
After RM3K spending, you earn 0.3%. So yes, once you go above RM3K, you don't enjoy 3%.

Example you spend RM3,500, the cash back yo get:

First RM1K x 0.50% = RM5
Second RM1K x 1.5% = RM15
Spend RM3K a month you get additional RM1K x 3% = RM30
For balance RM500, you get RM500 x 0.03% = RM1.50

TOTAL cash back for RM3500 spent = RM61.50 (1.835%) And the more you spend above this about, the effective cash back reduces further. In toerh words, the cad is good for up to RM3K spending (unless if you get discount).

Once you are able to comoprehend the above about Tiered Based Cash Back - click here to my article The Best Cash Back Credit Card Combination where I will show you how to optimize cash back returns with increments of RM500.
