Have you experienced any jerking prior to this incident?
*
Nope bro, just out of sudden it jerks like this. If you wanna know any incident happened prior to this jerking, i was testing my car top speed on saturday night on NKVE highway. Clocked 170 km/h all the way from Kepong to Klang and Klang to Kepong. Not sure whether this is the main culprit for my engine behaviour now.

u must have balls of steel to do 170km/hr on stock engine. Wonder how long did u take to reach 170...

Drive safe, 170 is too fast for k car.
*
I am currently using GAB Adjustables all round, UR 4 point front strut bar, 19 mm rear anti roll bar, rear upper adjustable bar and running on Kumho KU31 shoes. It believe my current setup really helps in the stability of the car. Though is not as comfortable as other cars running 170 km/h.

Not very long to reach that speed though. i didnt clock my time to reach 170 but i was focusing more on the stability at that speed.

I think you pushed the old timer too much haha.
*
Well, it isnt too old to train for muscles. maybe it could be my spark plugs which has not been changed for the last 20k KM. Considering to change the plugs to NGK G-Power. Any comments on this spark plug?

Lifespan for platinum plugs are generally lower than iridium ones. I think you'd be better off looking for a good deal on iridium ones first, and settling on the ngks only if you find the other ones overpriced.
*
I've ask a shop that i always frequent, RM 75 for NGK G-Power and RM 180 for NGK Iridium. I think go for NGK G-Power better.

Iridium plugs are supposed to last twice the lifespan of platinum ones. Some users complain about cold starts after switching to iridium plugs, have you experienced this?
*
Other than that, i've also heard that Iridium does not bring that much performance gain in our engine as we dont do high revving most of the time as iridium works better in higher temperature. not sure how true is this though.

not much of shop carry this shoe iinm

I'm not sure though as the previous owner changed to this tyre. I looked around in forum and found one shop in putra mahkota selling ku31 for 150 a piece. You may wanna check it out.

Update on my car, replaced the spark plugs today but still didn't solved the problem. Maybe coil on plug is spoilt. Will need to let the mechanic to check on it then only know what's wrong. Sigh!

Hi guys,

I have a set of NGK G-Power spark plugs for sale. Suitable for kelisa/kenari/viva 1000cc engine.

Reason for sale: Bought it to replace the current spark plug but found out previous owner already changed to Iridium Spark Plugs and it is still quite new.

For the NGK, i only bought it and installed it, started engine and off. never moved the car. letting it go at RM 60.

Also, i have a set of 60 pieces automotive tool set. Letting it go for RM 60 as bought an extra unit. good tool to perform routine maintenance for all cars.

PM me if interested.

=D

sorry to bring up a bit old post, I'm wondering, what is stage one, stage two, stage three and etc referring to? Mind to explain?
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

I'm using ngk g power for around five years, running all fine, just make sure to get the correct code's spark plug, because different heat range by 1 can have big different. On routine service part, it last me around 40k km, using it just because the price about the same like standard spark plug, fyi the price I got for a set is less then RM50.
*
Stage one is mild modifications like changing headers, exhaust, air filter, spark plugs.

Stage 2 is touching more towards engine internals like high cams, port and polish header, bore engine block and etc.

Stage 3 is more towards racing modifications like turbo charging and etc.

Wow! Where you got it so cheap?

Anyway, my car engine issue was solved. It was one of the coil plug was spoilt. Replace it for RM 190 a pop.

QUOTE(IazHes @ Nov 23 2014, 11:05 AM)
Thanks.

Yesterday i have called to P2SC
they quote me the price as below

front windscreen - RM550+-
Engine Mounting - RM1200+- (promotion -10%)
Front absorber - RM360+-  (promotion -10%)
Back absorber - RM210+-  (promotion -10%)

Total if repair/exchange with labour fee = RM2400+-  doh.gif  rclxub.gif

any advise from PRO here ?
*
Prices in perodua service centre is higher sometimes but it is backed with 6 month warranty for workmanship if I'm not mistaken. Maybe you can consult outside workshop for price comparison.

Mounting still ok if compared to replacing the clutch kit in the car. to replace the clutch kit, the entire engine has to come off the engine bay just to reach the flywheel and clutch. and the the processed is reversed.

I understand the most time consuming and most expensive to change is the front engine mounting. Is it correct ? Please advise. TQ

I dismantled my meter this morning as there are some faulty light bulbs. They are very small in size. Wondering what codes are these bulbs? Anyone knows whether it is available in led type?
I mean the light bulbs for P, R, N, D, 3 & 2.
*
Greetings Jimmy,

For all the smaller bulbs for meter, you may buy this bulbs as i also bought the same one previously.

http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Wholesale-T.../612357744.html

however, for auto car may need to buy 20 pieces as 10 pieces is ngam ngam to replace all the small lights for meter panel.

btw, if u wanna replace the aircond panel to white LED, i can sell them to you as i got extra for it. come take it from me during TT session.

guys, shall we held our TT session on the following saturday night? it has been delayed quite sometime already.

Hi Tommi

The small lights are labelled osram 12/1.2 at the back. Is this the same as B8.5 1led as per aliexpress advertisement? Will it fit into the back of the meter?
*
Jimmy,

If your bulb is something like in this link, then the one on aliexpress will definitely fit it.

rocker cover also known as valve cover..basically the top cover of your engine..i think common problem with kelisa and kenari that the cover seal around the spark plug is leaking..so the engine oil will enter the spark plug area..the solution is to change the whole cover..
*
no wonder when i open the coil plugs, i saw some engine oil was inside the spark plug tube hole. i think we gotta keep that area clean all the time, else dust and small stones will go in and cause more leaks.

it depends on how many participants are there coming. if the headcount is too low, we may need to postpone it to another weekend again. T.T!

Noted on this. What about others? Anybody prefers to have the TT on weekday night?
