I left SITI already.. No intention to go back there...

What a politically correct answer. Most of the time, people think of CTS as too "degrading" for their wonderfully superb "brains". My theory is that if you can't even excel in the area of CTS, what makes them think they can excel elsewhere. 

Most of the time its an attitude issue.

haha..same thing happen to me bro ...i'm so jealous with ppl whom able to play foosball and pingpong downstairs ....but i know ..there's alot of barrier between technical ppl and helpdesk ppl ...
but rite now , i'm a freeman ...no calls , no pressure ...only skills/technical required on server / storage/ backup ..

Last batch to receive it is October this year. sad case...

ALL relocation allowances are gone. i.e. 1k for housing and 1k for car also gone afew years ago. And now even the expats who come here only get Localised salary. No more good stuff nowdays.

Contractor lah, siapa mau kerja ngan shell nowdays? no use! lower income, lower benefits, etc. Contractor pays higher salary and better benefits! I still get my allowances although a bit less than shell's original plan but at least it's something i.e. 1k for housing and 750 for car ok nia, Oh and offshore allowance a whopping RM190 a day. Instead of other contractors who get only rm70 a day. Shell dun get any allowances offshore nowdays if i'm not mistaken. I believe they removed that as well for certain positions.

well, from my experience, shell pays better than exxon. exxon is stingy.

when is the effective date?

if this is official. shell's remuneration package for the new staff is badly downgraded.

i heard )from the insider), Shell is quite in hot boil soup due to practicing racism. Many C than M in the company. Not sure hw true it is.
