anker dabid.. mind to explain why the spare tyres need to inflate so high the pressure?
i mean let's say lar tayar pancit on the road.. and got it changed with spare tayar.. if my other donuts are running at say 33psi, and i fit this spare tayar 37psi on the car.. wont' it become unstable?
heard that can't drive more than 60kmh? and if the spare tayar is used on the front wheels it will bengkok the alignment?
thanks for clarifying
and you park like a boss
When you using spare tyres, you're not recommended to do anything faster than 80kmh because you wouldn't know the structure integrity of the spare tyre holds. It may explode when you applying load/speed. Meanwhile, unbalanced tyre pressure tend to give different different road surface grip. On the other hand, think about it how the hell your 1 spare tyre can fit left or right, forward radial or backward radial? Do you know every side of the tyre also specially designed for forward rotation/inner thread to have less water cutting but more draining function, where as outter thread is used to purely drain water from the centre thread? So, you're adviced to drive slow and quickly rectify your original tyre and replace it back as soon as possible. Spare tyre is for SPARE. Not as a replacement for any 1 of your current tyre.
I'm more worried of tayar bengkak as very hard for visual inspection. The last time I had with my Iswaga was the tyre bengkak, but I didn't know was still driving as the inner/outter thread of the tyre still working fine, only 1 small part at the middle got grind off until the steel radial belt cannot tahan than exploded at Kemuning toll. Now this has became 1 of my regular inspection. Every oil change I'll kneel down, use my palm to sweep through the tyre surface to check whether got bengkak/wavy
