Pick from USA Today in JD power report

Korean cars are the top quality vehicles by a growing stretch. Japanese brands on the other hand are slipping down the rankings table, falling below the industry average for the first time in 29 years. Newslook

Good to see the once mighty Japanese falling down the pecking order especially Toyota. They have been far too arrogant all these years.

Optima owner reporting in.

Bought new July 2013. Now about 65k done.

All ok except for a couple of issues.

1. A/C not cold when stopped in traffic - any ideas what is wrong? Workshop says no problem with gas.

2. When am I supposed to change to autotransmission oil? Or am I not supposed to change it?

Also, all tyres are going bald and my front suspension beginning to squeak.

That because I travel over 108 speed bumps every day I go & return from work.

Rgds,

1.) you need to ask the sc to update the aircond software. i thought all sc should know that if u report your aircond is not cold.

2.) please check your car user manual, it states that very clear. i believe is either at 40k or 50k km.

you can find all your questions with answers from your sc if you stick to your service scedule.

cheers!

Well, after 3.5 years of service my K5 has been sold and i've moved on to another brand. I must say that I still got the 'look' whenever I drove the K5 around. Its still among the best looking cars on the road. With its features, interior space & high safety standards, its still very much value for money.  thumbup.gif

77K which is lower than what I expected. But I didn't want to get caught holding on to 2 cars cuz the new car was already there.

I think the first thing b4 you buy the K5 used car, you better call the nazakia customer service to check whether that K5 has proper service record or not, as K5 has 5 years with unlimited mileage warranty.

Cheers!

Bro, pls get rid of all 4 Nexen's. They are rubbish tyre with poor wet grip and aquaplaning resistance. Sidewall strength is also poor which increases the risk of sidewall separation at high speeds.

Go for Goodyear Assy 2 or Michelin PS3. No point having top class safety specs if your tyres are bad.

Hi cybermaster98, have you try Bridgestone GR100 tyre before ? Plan to buy that (as its cheapest among all brand) but not sure whether its good.

Stick to Michelin. The new Pilot Sport 4 is coming soon so im sure they will be clearing the current stock of PS3.

Never save on tyres. No amount of safety features will save you if your tyres are not good.

Anyway, i've already sold my K5 last Dec.
