Very good offer for the KIA K5 from our Singaporean neighbors, but still don't seem to be able to generate much interest with the people there.

Such a huge disparity compared to us here.

it is for test drive or display units...
but really, i cudnt agree more abt their car pricing. Some koreans, or even japs are priced really close to contis.  doh.gif

It's for new cars, not test drive or display units. If you read the thread more, they can just give u straight 20k discount off the car if you don't want to take their offer. But a lot of people not enthusiastic because of the low Open Market Value the car commands (it's kind of similar to resale value).

one of the guy in page 4 at the thread mentioned he called up and got informed that it is limited to test/display units. Nevertheless, still overpriced

Can't help it. The COE rule affects all cars under the same category. This is also the reason why people there don't bother buying Japanese/Korean when COE prices are high, there's no point - might as well go for luxury brand.

I doubt the cost of the Camry or K5 will really differ to much from each other, seeing as how small the price difference is between a Sonata and a base model Camry is in the US.

Previously they had a deal for when you buy a C200, you get upgraded to an E200 for free as well.

How come we don't have such offer here. LOL!

Well, after 3.5 years of service my K5 has been sold and i've moved on to another brand. I must say that I still got the 'look' whenever I drove the K5 around. Its still among the best looking cars on the road. With its features, interior space & high safety standards, its still very much value for money.  thumbup.gif

So what are you driving now?
How much did you get for the car?
