K5 alrdy comes with alarm system. Just that it is silent type, like many others.

tail light brake light are all LED. Signal and reverse are bulbs. The one we getting are AUS spec, which comes with rear fog light, ie not continuous line of LED from outside through the bonner portion. However, many ppl have installed the US spec, which are continuous tail light. price ard RM700 inc postage exc installation.

So, its not true. U cant put bulb into tail light unlit brake light portion, and look like the US version.

for my side dont have 2012 already , but i believe that some of branch still have .last week i saw a unit at tinted shop. the owner tell me that he get the car 1weeks ago at red cube PJ

what i meant by silent, is the arm and disarm mechanism has no sound indication. Those beep once or twice, instead, its light. HOWEVER, the car will have sound alarm trigger whenever there is break-in.

U can try it. Simply lock someone without key inside the car. Make sure the key is away from the car, and after abt 15s, that person in the car manually unlock the door latch and open the door. The alarm sound will trigger

u mean sound when arm n disarm the alarm? Not sure, but i guess it is possible, just tap the light wire to the speaker/horn.

What Speed Limit? U mean Cruise Control?

this is the K5 latest engine model in Malaysia, launched somehwere in Oct last year compare with previous model which called/named as ThetaII engine, both engine are different, on paper, both fuel consumption, horse power and torge have different spec/result too.. furthermore, NU's k5 also have some extra feature compare with previous ThetaII engine, what i can remember is,

1. the signal and wiper knob has change side, NU car's signal is at left handside compare with ThetaII at the rigth hand side,

2. 4 sit-belt warning show in your indicator (thetaII warn on the driver side)

3. 4 full power window (ThetaII only have 2 at infront).. full power window mean with one press, u can open/close window, both rear passenger window
in ThetaII in power window but not fully, which mean u need to press the button to full open/close

4. This is import for me, front passanger seat door have an extra button to lock and unlock all door, this is a very very very very convenient button especially if the driver need to go out the car for wash room or buying something, you passenger doesnt need to CLIMB to the driver door to lock the door and CLIMB back to unlock the door..

Price wise, both are selling at the same price which is RM143,888 (on the road price before discount from your SA and NCD

when set the speed limit let say on 100km/h, no matter how you press the gas pedal, your top speed is only 100km/h max!

ThetaII have cruise control too, but not sure about the speed limit features, hornestly.. i didnt trust cruise control thingy, especially on highway, oredi sleepy enuff, if allow too many part of my body stop working, im surely will fall in sleep..

i find feature no 4 is very useful as per mentioned. Too bad mine is theta

No, this is not how the Speed limiter works. Once you set the speed limit, and if your car exceeds that speed limit, the indicator will blink, followed by a chime to warn you that you are over-speeding. It does not prevent your car from going faster than the speed limit, as this would be very dangerous. Imagine if you are overtaking on a car on a trunk road, and suddenly you have loss of power! Hope this explains. Cheers

Speed Limiter button on Optima K5. It serves to warn you when you over-speed the set limit. The indicator will blink, followed by a chime.
