DATO' ROHANA ROHZAN

Let's see if there is 25 overall HD channels by the year end... And guess what the channels will be...
*
Current HD channel count is 21 (25+ if count best HD, first HD & ABOE HD one) laugh.gif

Also, it seems some of Astro channels is "hosted" on Telkom 1 (Indonesia sat)... laugh.gif laugh.gif

So how about the Astro Beyond Decoder ? Do we need to return it to a nearby Astro Centre ? And how about the Astro dish ?
*
Iirc, don't need to return if your contract is over. But if your contract not yet over, then must return.

I still have my decoder in a junk pile along with piles of old adapters and cables.

read this today on FB
Dear Astro Customer, I am Liyth A. Nissirat, I was a customer of astro around 2004, and in 2006 I asked to disconnect my line. Since then I never heared from Astro. Recently I received calls from some ppl claim they are a lawer office for ASTRO and started asking me about my passport number. When I asked them about the reason of the call they claimed that I should pay to ASTRO RM47, Really it shocked me, after almost 6 years ASTRO remembered that I should pay that money. During the past 6 years I didnt' receive anything from ASTRO, and when I asked to disconnect my line, the customer service didn't tell me that there is any money overdue, from where the hell the RM47 came??????

My passport number is not the one the lawer gave to me during the call, also I forgot what was my account number with ASTRO because 6 years have passed, I am afraid that the one calling me is just scam calls. And also how come now after this long time ASTRO is asking me for this amount of money, really it is very amazing that such a big company fall in such a terrible mistakes.
I think we have to get a letter from asstro that there is nothing outstanding,to be safe! shakehead.gif

True. My sis canceled her byond acc 2 months ago. She was ask to keep the whole thing, even the smartcard too. She was told anytime she want to activate her astro again just call the center and mention the ic number.

Strange. Because Assteruk CS did request that I send back my smartcard after termination. But they said I can keep the dish and decoder (which I intend to pass to my aunt because she's still using the smaller grey dish from 2003-4).

I think they want to save costs and make more profits they buy selected games,so here ASN cannot be a channel itself perhaps ESPN monopoly!
*
I'm not sure if it is selected games or not but the logo on TV says "ASN Hypp Sports 2 HD" although the channel is officially known as Hypp Sports 2 HD.

I dropped by the Astro Service Centre when I went for lunch just now and I was told that I can still keep the Astro Beyond decoder should I want to cancel the Astro subscription. The lady at the counter also said that I don't have to return the smartcard and should I want to reconnect the service, I only have to call their hotline.

So, do we actually need to return the Astro smartcard hmm.gif

Hi Astro Byond Fans, I just bought the new LED TV and connect with the old astro decoder (using AV). Sadly to say the quality of the video is very very bad. I will upgrade the current box to AStro Beyond soon. Just want to know, will the non HD channel such as 311 , 317, 301, will we get the better video quality from non HD channel ?
Thanks.

Definitely a trick to earn RM50 for non-return of smartcard.

Your decoder is the old type right ? That could be the reason. Just now the lady at the Astro Service Centre told me that I can keep everything including the smartcard and if I ever decide that I want to watch Astro again in the future, all I need to do is call their hotline and give my IC no and they will reconnect it. I did not actually cancel my Astro subscription. She was just telling me that I can keep everything if I want to cancel my Astro subscription.

May be, or may be not.

So who has recently canceled your Astro subscription (note: Astro Beyond Decoder) but still keep everything including the Astro smartcard ?
