Unifi IPTV is having live and delayed La Liga and UEFA Champions League on their Hypp Sports 2 HD. Free to watch until 16 Oct when you need to subscribe. Hypp Sports HD has all the ASN programming.

I think they want to save costs and make more profits they buy selected games,so here ASN cannot be a channel itself perhaps ESPN monopoly!
*
I'm not sure if it is selected games or not but the logo on TV says "ASN Hypp Sports 2 HD" although the channel is officially known as Hypp Sports 2 HD.

Well, I'm too far from Singapore to get OTA signals, but I'd assume so...

Does MediaCorp offer an app that streams CNA to iPad or iPhone users, paid or FOC? I can use that to check. I used an IPTV app to confirm that Hypp is delaying France 24 and Euronews. (Strangely tho, DW is actually uncensored and arrives on Hypp 30 seconds faster than the app).
*
Al Jazeera on HyppTV were not censored, so I don't assume CNA is delayed and censored.

Thanks a lot. Do update when you have found out the price and where did your husband buy it. Thanks again  thumbup.gif

If you are willing to spend more, you can record Astro in HD using AverMedia HD recorder. But you need to buy HDMI to component converter as well since the HD recorder only has component input, no HDMI input. You also need a HDD to store the recording. This were discussed here quite some time ago.

It seems they have 2 models for recording but I dont see it any better than ACRYAN, or did I miss something?

AverMedia will record in HD while ACRyan will record only in SD except for DVB. It can auto-detect the signal whether 720p or 1080i and record as such. The difference between Game Capture and EzRecorder is Game Capture is single touch recording while EzRecorder has time schedule recording, and the newer model has IR blaster to change channel as well.

edit: below is previous discussion on HD recording

AverMedia has another standalone HD recorder, the DarkCrystal HD Recorder and not much more expensive than EzRecorder. This standalone DarkCrystal HD Recorder should do fine too right ? And if we used solely component cables to do all the recording, we still record up to 1080i quality and don't have to worry about HDCP, is that correct ?
*
DarkCrystal HD is not standalone recorder but it attach to a PC to capture. Yes, no need to worry about HDCP but you need to get HDMI to component video converter.

HD Recording

...2) Purchase one device from (1) and add another so-called "Converter Device" which receive HDMI Input, shhh... "quietly" remove the HDCP from the HDMI signal and then output to Component Video (1080i). The question here is... are such devices legal ? I don't know. Do anyone here also know of such devices that can bypass the protection ? I also want to know too.

If you follow the discussion between myself and ZHashim38 starting from http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...&#entry51485177, both of us get AverMedia EzRecorder HD and ViewHD HDMI to Component Converter. I'm using it right now to record from both Astro and Unifi Hypptv thru a ViewHD HDMI 4x2 matrix switch. So, it is working just fine. I connect a 500GB USB HDD to it and can bring this HDD to my PC anytime. Unfortunately EzRecorder do not support AC3 audio, for that you'll have to search for other recording device out there. It work just fine for my documentaries recording while I download HD movies.

309 Celetial HD was available to all HD subscribers before they took it away, if not mistaken about mid last year.

Try changing to a shorter HDMI cable. If it still persists try a different TV set.
*
If shorter cable did not help, try change to better quality cable. Better still, when buying that shorter cable, get the better quality one. Normally better quality one is more expensive, cable is stiffer due to better shielding and thicker wires, gold plated connector etc. I connect mine thru HDMI switches and muxes and using quality cables eliminated the flickering.

not this again... tongue.gif

only applies to analog signals, not applicable for digital signals

If getting a short HDMI cable (less than 3M), any brand and the cheapest one will do, no need to pay extra for those super expensive branded HDMI cable.  Just make sure the version is latest one. wink.gif
*
Why is it super expensive? I just paid rm30 for it. Compare to the one supplied by Astro, it is much better quality.
