im a astro byond user ... ok for HD is it better to set 720P or 1080i ( this LCD tv basically at hall for family )

I tested both settings for around 2 weeks each when I first received it... and to tell the truth I couldn't see the difference since Astro's video quality isn't that great anyways. I've left it at 1080i since.

Hi Guys,

1-2 months ago I just upgraded my old Astro to the new Astro B.yond.
Then few days ago, Astro called me to congratulate me (bla, bla, etc whatever).

Main thing is, they told me I can get the new Astro B.yond PVR.
They will give me new decoder, satelite, etc and all I have to pay is a 1-time fee of RM50 during installation.
My monthly charges will remain the same.

May I know what's the catch here?
Or is it too good to be true?

If u are on SP and HD then PVR services is already added.why pay rm50,just change decorder? Watch out your new 2 year contract, the choice is yours.

Under super packs HD fees/PVR fees are included if no super pack u pay RM30 extra above your pack pricing,so if u choose HD,PVR,sports or movies best go for superpacks. http://support.astro.com.my/shop.aspx

Sorry take so long to reply, yesterday too tired, only took pictures very early this morning.

I'm not a subscriber to the channels since I'm not interested in football. But here are grabs from the preview:

Fox Football Channel Plus. No official indication if it's HD or SD, but the picture is very sharp so it's certainly HD).

Fox Football Channel. Again, no official indication if it's HD or SD, but this time the picture is a bit blurry, so I suspect SD or Widescreen SD

@ RAMChYLD - Thanks for the pixs! Looks like FOX Football Channel Plus is HD while FOX Footbal Channel is SD.

How does the preview channel works (for channels you do not subscribe)? You can still view it full-screen?

On Starhub, we get a black screen reminding us to subscribe to the channel in order to view it....likewise for mio TV....believe the same for astro.....Hypp TV allows full-screen viewing?? Pls. enlighten.

Thanks again!
