QUOTE(freakfingers12 @ Oct 1 2012, 10:06 PM) Hi there, here it is. I am not sure where to look for idle temp, but I think it's quite high. I am using fixed GPU not dynamic, right now I am on Intel GPU. aww man. you definitely need to send it to SC for maintenance.. dust cleaning, reapply thermal paste. http://postimage.org/image/r0j7u14o9/ that temperature is off the hook. Added on October 1, 2012, 10:33 pmi noticed you only opened chrome, firefox and idm but your CPU load is pretty high. virus ka? This post has been edited by Acid_RuleZz: Oct 1 2012, 10:33 PM |

QUOTE(freakfingers12 @ Oct 2 2012, 03:57 AM) Thanks. I thought it was a software issue. Guess I should send it for maintenance. Virus, maybe, I also don't know. Tell them its overheating and you want to reapply thermal paste and some cleaning.Backup your file 1st before u send it. Sometime they simply reformat your laptop if got virus. QUOTE(j-insigh @ Oct 2 2012, 07:07 AM) i was expecting one too. QUOTE(Ikmal91 @ Oct 2 2012, 07:44 AM) Acid, I'm running just fine on Borderlands 2. Everything at max settings and only the Physics shit turned to low. And I get a very smooth game overall. no problem if physhiet at low but that disabled particles and fluid physic. a little of everything at low setting is sufficient imo... damn nvidia. |

QUOTE(dD_se7en @ Oct 7 2012, 02:14 PM) nope, i close almost everything, sometimes even open firefox also will show this error. if i update to driver, would it solve the problem? usually it happen when u watching utube/flash video or having a low level 3d acceleration where the gpu clock constantly changing clock profile from idle to 2d or 3d rapidly. you can try update the driver but i can't guarantee it will fix your problem. try use Leshcat's Issue Resolver built into his UnifL drivers to change your TDR setting or inject TDR fixed directly to the driver. the latter might lower gaming performance a little but it is a better solution. |

QUOTE(acapahmad @ Oct 11 2012, 09:25 PM) i chose modern as the manual said. is there something need to be deleted or how? hard to use my laptop while in college as it needs to be shut down if i need to change place to use it -..-' I use modern as well. Care to follow step 3 till 7 in this guide? Do it after u run DriverFusion. If the problem still persist, better stick with older driver. |

Yup.. i read many guys successfully installed it on Win8.
Check user-project page, there is a workaround for MetroUI when u manually switch GPU. |

QUOTE(acapahmad @ Oct 12 2012, 12:51 AM) okay, i did the steps and done, but still the problem is still there. after sleep, the lcd seems like it doesnt have backlight. what seems to be the problem. sobs T.T not sure myself.. i had this problem on one of his 12.6 set and also 12.8. alex said it was caused by intel driver.try a clean install again? QUOTE Just wanted to thank you for posting a good solution. The following worked for me on a dv6t-6100 w/ amd 6770 gpu Guys I had this issue before. I solved it by cleaning the drivers and re-installing: - Download and install “Driver Fusion” - Reboot into Windows Safe Mode and Run Driver Fusion - Clean ATI Display Drivers and Intel Display Drivers - Reboot Into Safe Mode - Install Leshcat Drivers - Reboot again. You should be good to go! or try 12.7 beta since its the 2nd best driver imo. |
