Ok, its godlike level...

Kinda expected the explosion of colors is like what I see in abstract painting, but seeing that makes me "wth, mix n match color is sooo like rocket science" cuz I really dont have the eyes for colors. Only good at imitating others and reapply them to my works.

Here's another try on a similar color scheme, but in portrait.
The frills alone take 8 hours to paint.

Slowly learning painting background art. Dunno where to start so this one a mess...

If u look the reference picture I use sure u facepalm at me.
From lots of trees n houses I stripped down to just one house lol.
And that amount of blur to cover up.

Anyway, got any tips for painting background art for beginner like me? Usually I just go watch FDZschool n learn techniques from there. But that Feng guy so fast cant really catch up what he's doing.

I think so too at first, but really from reference pic the dog is so near its feet touch the girl. So I left it as it is.

2nd attempt at background painting. Added chromatic aberration but dunno how to make it softer, so I just paint over it
And low detail on the character, cuz this time focusing on bg.

It was meant to look like the head is tilting downward and to the left, while she looked upward. Guess didn't go so well.
Probably gonna hide it all later.
