First sculpture I've made using Zbrush. Kinda hard for me since first time modelling organic subject. Getting used to brushes and dynamesh, polymesh. Didn't try polypaint and fibermesh parameters yet. In any case, I wanna ask sifu here if its better to use fibermesh to create hair, or just import the spline data to maya and remade it there? I dont know the workflow for better hair other than sculpting with alpha.

QUOTE(seba @ Oct 13 2015, 10:02 PM) I'm potato just started 3 days ago lol. Lots of head scratching at first, cuz most of tutorials workflow zbrush to maya. So I'm kinda stuck with zbrush for now.QUOTE(WongCobain @ Oct 14 2015, 11:06 AM) Thanks. Sculpting update - added skin texture via polypaint and refined fibermesh with multiple polygroup. Learned how to control lighting in general, HDRI in progress. Still don't know to fine tune output, so screencap for now is enough. ![]() |

QUOTE(WongCobain @ Oct 15 2015, 09:01 AM) Yeah, I think so too. The problem with polymesh is that it is not the same with hair system in maya. here hair strands can be made/edit whenever you want on the curves. But polymesh is one time setup before the whole grooming thing...well, planning to redo it anyway. p/s: some ppl recommend inflate hair, but then the hair will lose its softness |

QUOTE(WongCobain @ Oct 15 2015, 03:42 PM) Thanks again~ This time remade hair, fiddling around with fiber material, but still wont look as good without soften shader. Planning to use maya or using blender with hairnet plugin. Former option is better with lots of tutorials, but have to learn another software....again. ![]() |

QUOTE(leftycall9 @ Oct 24 2015, 07:56 PM) [/spoiler] Thanks, but I have to pause my work in 3D, as there are many works to do lately. So I didn't get to play around with hairnet. Sorry hi I have one question, does Hairnet plug in works in Blender version 2.66 only? I have some other program that needed 2.70 so it's little bit inconvenient to switch to older version again. great work btw |

Gems from CF15, though can be bought from Kino, I was hoping that Fei Giap-sensei would be there. But sadly he didn't make it.

Wondering if this style if matching the anime style, just a lil bit of realism.

QUOTE(seba @ Jan 26 2016, 03:09 AM) Hmm, thats still anime style, anime art in general have their anatomy 80% close to human body and cartoon face, so have to say thats not the kind of realism I see, good job on the shading so far. Ooh I see. Thanks for reaffirm this Will continue with this style, and now learning color temperature. |

You mean highlights the outline of the clothing and the skin? On the other hand, I guess its all because there's not much interaction going here, although there are few regulars here, we dont really chat... everybody post their art, and thats it, nothing else really happen :/ Altho I did try to actively give feedbacks then, but it seems nobody tries to reciprocate, ultimately making this thread stale and passive, thats why I stopped, and few others did the same. Great, but it lacks a little body, why not try to put lines into it Nice, Ive seen u in /k never knew u could draw, nice lines This post has been edited by drpsyko: Feb 6 2016, 08:00 AM |

QUOTE(seba @ Mar 15 2016, 09:15 AM) Pretty cool, but ultimately what makes Miku a Miku is her color scheme. Thanks for the feedback seba-sensei, I really really appreciate it.I see u have put some outlines as well, thats nice, and there's no substantial anatomy flaw here as well, u have improved alot As for the color scheme, you're spot on. Its hard to convince its Miku unless stated. Probably better if green > yellow > red than direct red > white. Also started to do background arts for VN as commission. Any tips on painting from 3D render? I dunno how to make it looks less realistic. Current progress: This post has been edited by drpsyko: Mar 16 2016, 06:55 AM |
