Advice needed , thanks.

-My Rig: Gaming desktop , laptop and budget smartphone
- Type of usage: Music , gaming and videos
- File format: mp3 , mp4 and so on
- Music genre: Anything that sounds nice , I'm not picky
- Budget: RM 300 - RM 400 ( But prefer not to go 400 unless it's a big leap forward )
- Headphone/ earphone type: Preferred closed , monitor perhaps ?
- Other requirements (if any): Won't need amplifiers for most applications , would like natural sound with clarity . Don't need a mic .

Went to a shop that provides my college sound equipment , their advice is to get the Audio Technica ATH-PRO5MK2 for RM 269 . Is it good? Or are there better? Thanks ! biggrin.gif

For your requirement, should consider the AKG K99 instead nod.gif

What I've experienced before:
Audio Technica M-50. Good bass response. V-shaped Frequency curve to my ears. Great for rock. Okay for vocals.
Beyerdynamic Custom One Pro: Customize-able bass response. Hard hitting bass. May be bloated if switched to gear 4.

- rig- Desktop and Xperia Ray
- usage- Movie 30%, gaming 20%, music 50%
- File format- common one
- Genre of music- Sometimes love song, sometimes bassy song
- earphone type (Not sure, something like Beats Solo, Closed type?)
- Other requirements- Sound insulation!
Ideal budget - Around RM200 if possible, but if RM300 also ok provided it is much more superior than the RM200 one. wink.gif
My friend have a Beats Solo, it impress me cause of the clarity, bass and insulation. But this is the only expensive earphone i have used before, so i don't know much about a good earphone, im not an audiophiles lol. Right now im looking for an affordable while providing similar experience like what Beats Solo carries.
I read some reviews about AKG K430 and it looks not bad and price are around RM3xx which is much much cheaper than Beats. Is K430 good? My main point is good insulation since im not a hardcore audiophiles.
